And here we have to settle for a Fortuner at 30 lakhs. If not 35 lakhs take 45-50 lakhs, We will happily buy one for sure. I'm sure it will be launched in India at ~1.8cr min.
Even at such an atrocious pricing the Land Cruisers are selling decent numbers in India. In the past 6 months Toyota India has sold collectively more than 50 Land Cruisers. So there is definitely a demand for it.

The 2016 Land Cruiser was officially launched in the United Arab Emirates, at an event in the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, on the 20th of October.

Exterior:

The Exterior looks very manly, and has facets of the Toyota Tundra in it. It looks MUCH better than what it does in pictures, and i was pleasantly surprised at what a good-looker it was, after hating on it while checking out the Instagram spy shots! The side-profile is almost like Lexus LX570 now, and the rims are pretty cool too.










Interiors:

The Interiors is where the let-down is. The Steering is just too small for a car this big, and the Dashboard is completely out of place and isn't of the best materials for a car this expensive.
A new fancy wireless charging port, similar to the new Audi Q7 has also been added, besides a 10" Screen in the rear which looks very after-market due to the terrible interface. The JBL Synthesis system has been carried over from the 2012 Land Cruiser.
The Safety aspect is still very weak, buying the Basic and Mid-Level V6 Models will only get you Driver and Passenger Airbags, the Top Level V6 now gets Side Airbags in this update. The VXR 5.7 is quite loaded when it comes to safety.
In a hindsight, the Interior is disappointing and nowhere close to the Nissan Patrol.










Pricing:
Toyota went a bit overboard with the Pricing, the Basic Model now starts at 209,000 AED which is 37,00,000 INR. This is a whopping increase of 20,000 AED in the Starting Price.
The one in the pictures is the 5.7 V8, which is priced at 329,000 AED which comes close to 58,00,000 INR.

Toyota has launched the updated Land Cruiser 200 in India. The premium luxury SUV comes with styling updates to the exterior and interior along with a host of safety features.

Up front, the Land Cruiser 200 facelift gets a large three-bar chrome grille with a chrome surround that is stretched out to under the headlamps. The headlamps are new, while the bumper has been restyled and the fog lamp housing now comes with chrome inserts. The bonnet has also been redesigned and features dual power bulges, further accentuating the SUV's muscular look. At the rear, the new tail-lamps are joined by a bar of chrome that comes emblazoned with the 'Land Cruiser' name.

Inside, the dashboard and centre console have been revised. The refreshed Land Cruiser gets a new instrument cluster with a larger multi-information display. The centre console is dominated by a larger infotainment screen flanked by large air-con vents with chrome surround. The control surfaces along the centre console have also been revised, and the steering wheel is new. The third row gets a centre headrest to accommodate an additional passenger. The Land Cruiser 200 continues to be powered by a 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine which churns out 281bhp and 66kgm of torque.

The updated SUV is priced at Rs 1.29 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Toyota offers a warranty of 3 years / 100,000km whichever is earlier, on the Land Cruiser 200.

They have updated Indian website as well , given the increase in prices elsewhere in world , by Toyota standards this is priced better then older one

The car has already landed in India and delivery of first lot started. The car has waiting period of 4 months in Pune. The front grill, Bumper, Side mirrors, Alloy wheels in the Indian car seem to be different.

For all the astronomical price (in India) and the abilities, this car somehow lacks the visual appeal. Especially the rear looks so much van like. The lesser sibling Fortuner looks much macho. And 5-lug wheel? Even older Pajeros and Endeavours have 6-lug wheels. So does Fortuner.

I like the exterior look of the car. However, the seat memory function is prehistoric. Looks like its lifted straight off a 90's Lexus. In fact my 2003 Lexus has a better positioning of these buttons

Also while browsing Toyota's India website, looks like they've put the very basic Land Cruiser's image (I believe they sell this stripped out models to Aid organizations worldwide). Doesn't make a very good first impression for the masses. But I like it this way, ignoring the price of course
