Range Rover introduced a styling overhaul in the brand's line up after the arrival of the Evoque. The urban SUV is all set to be unveiled in its facelifted avatar and Range Rover has just revealed a teaser image. As stated in the official release, the new Evoque will be the first model from the Land Rover stable to feature full LED adaptive headlamps. It is also expected to be launched as a cabriolet.

In its official statement, the British automaker adds that the 2016 Evoque will include a new engine line up, new safety and convenience features and certain updates on the interiors as well. The new engines will be from the Ingenium family of 4-cylinder turbo petrol/diesel motors.

In India, the Evoque is currently offered with a 2.2-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 188 BHP and 420 Nm of torque. The motor is mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Further details on the updated SUV will be revealed on 23rd February 2015, while the world premier at the Geneva motor show will take place on 3rd March.

With those stunning looks that the Evoque has, what it really needs is a very powerful engine. Looks to power ratio is very much disappointing in the Evoque. At least a TDV6 Engine should be on the list.

Land Rover has revealed the facelifted Range Rover Evoque, which will make its debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

Love the placement of new fog lights, that was the only sorry bit on the old car with those chrome surrounds.








Other than the comestic mods, the big news is under the bonnet, where, for the first time, the Evoque gets JLR's shiny new ‘Ingenium' modular engines offering improved economy and emissions. The facelifted car will be offered with the choice of two 2.0-litre Ingenium turbodiesels, developing 148bhp or 177bhp.

These lights are more modern looking, but lose out to the previous ones in distinctiveness and panache. Much preferred the previous one, they had a more analogue look to them, more character, if you will.
