Based on an all-new platform, the new Elantra will likely feature a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine from the new Tucson.

Hi. This picture has been doing the rounds online for almost 6 months ! I think it is a pretty good photoshop but not the original thing.

2016 Hyundai Elantra near-production rendering

A speculative rendering by digital artist Shoeb Kalania

The car looks like a Jaguar ! Hope the final production version of the car will look like this.
The upgraded interior is likely to feature an 8-inch touchscreen .The car might have assistance systems like autonomous braking.

Aditya, a little confused here. Is it the same car in post number 25 and post number 30?

Re: Next generation Hyundai Elantra caught on test

The 2017 Elantra has been caught inside the Hyundai factory, fully unmasked and straight off the production line, by the Korean Car Blog team.

The front looks radically different than the contemporary Hyundai designs we have come to see of late, while the rear borrows styling cues from the Sonata with the taillamps section inspired by the Elite i20.

Furthermore, this car indicates a move from traditional to modern styling by communicating the new model’s comfort, fashion and sporty feel.”

Re: Next generation Hyundai Elantra caught on test

Wow great find mate !
I am a little disappointed with the design and especially the front as it looks like a cheap ripoff of an Audi! The Interior is boring but they seem to have taken that direction to look more German and classy !
I do still expect it to do very well in India as they priced the current generation well below the competition (Corolla, Octavia etc) and will continue to do so i feel.

The headlamps remind one of a Jaguar, the steering wheel of a 5 series

Next generation Hyundai Elantra caught on test

Nice scoop on the production ready car Avi. Puts to rest a lot of designs that were doing the rounds.
Hyundai is now sticking more to their 2.0 theme. Must say that the new design is a little disappointing. The interiors also look quite bland. Neither have their got the design flare of the current model nor does it have clean German interiors.looks more a facelift than an all new mode. My 2 cents.
