Lambo teases new car to be revealed on the 1st of October in Paris! Wonder what this is.
A four seater Lambo maybe? Or the Aventador SV?!
It will be interesting to see, absolutely. I've had the pleasure of having driven a few Lambo's over the years. To be honest, I was never that impressed.
But there is no denying that they are properly the best true 'super car builders" in the world. All their designs tend to be out of this world, far more so, then say Ferrari's. Some might say they are whacky design, but to me that's waht a true super car should be. It's not about how well it drives, or its fuel economy, maybe not even about how fast it goes. But it should look futuristic and out of this world. Lambo is very good at that.
The Countach was an absolute pig to drive. Of course, the Italians also tend to ignore people like me who are 1.96m tall. There isn't a single garment on sale in all of Italy I can buy of the peg.
Mind you, remarkebly, the car I fit best and gives me the most relaxed, best supportive sitting position is my old, classic Alfa Spider with its tradional "monkey like" seating position. But I think that was pure coincidence and no Italian designer thought that one through.

Definitely a 4-seater. Look at the tag-line about "doubling perfection".
The "Estoque"? I hope they stick with that name - i quite like it.
If Ferrari has the FF...
Concepts of what Lamborghini might have...
This one is from an earlier TBHP thread...
... which mentions :
In 2015, ... there are rumors that an Estoque convertible concept could be unveiled at an unnamed auto show.
To kick off 2017, Lamborghini will introduce the production Estoque convertible and the Cabrera Superleggera. Link

Not bad looking, but as far as Lambo goes and what they have done in the past I think its a bit tame. (the car that is)

TG says this has more chance of being the new
Espada than the production Estoque. Apparently the former Lamborghini design boss Luc Donckerwolke told TG earlier this year that he reckons Lamborghini should resurrect the classic model.
What’s this mystery Lamborghini?
PS: There are some really funny comments on that TG page. Some say the tag-line on "doubling perfection" is about a W24 engine that revs to 18,000 and it could well be a Lamborghini bread knife rather than a new car. :uncontrol
That window line and the overall shape does look like a modern day Espada :D BUT according to me, if they were to bring back to life a classic, it ought to be the Miura :D

Isn't the Estoque just the re-imagined Espada?
I forgot to attach this image last time (couldn't find it). Quite like it:
More discussion here from 2008 :

I'm sure many would love that - but that doesn't seem to be where the money is (given that the Huracan & Aventador already exist).
They look to be expanding into new territories...

That looks pretty bad to my eyes. Lambo mustn't do something like that IMO.
And about a re-imagined Miura, I guess it will be a hit among the Lambo-istas, given they would do a limited run with an inter-galactic price tag. :D
I still feel that this is the Urus though.

The most apparent difference is the number of doors. Let's wait for Oct 1st. :)
Mystery Vehicle SCOOP: Lamborghini's Mystery Paris Debut Rumored to be a Hybrid Named
Asterion;
Asterion is an name given to the mythological creature, Minotaur.
The Asterion (i.e. Minotaur) was the name of this half-man, half-bull monster. Naming is apt coz this potential Lamborghini vehicle will be utilizing a half-gasoline, half-electric hybrid powertrain.

Who's surprised? Not me.
Just like the Aventador and Huracan, the new Asterion pictures has also been 'leaked' from a magazine photoshoot.
I guess it' time Lamborghini thought of a new plot. How about Chuck Norris swiped the photographs from a secret vault? :D

It looks a bit like a shortened Estoque on the face of it.
And going by the ground-clearance and the overall stance of the car, it appears that Lamborghini are looking to explore the super-sports-GT market that is currently being ruled by the likes of Aston Martin and Ferrari. A more usable Lamborghini may just be a great way to make the brand more accessible.
P.S. The passing resemblance to the Lancia Stratos (Glass house) is noteworthy.
attaching a few pictures of the asterion, the silhoutte somehow gives me a de tomaso pantera feeling.
Turns out the Asterion is a 4-door after all! (Very Mazda RX8!) And going by the interior, it certainly seems production ready. And this design is very unlike modern cab-forward Lamborghinis.

Well, they cannot have the rear passengers sitting right on top of the engine, in their usual format right? :D
I somehow feels it's a design mismatch though. Sleek frond end and rather bulky rear. May be - will take time to soak in.
