Italian supercar manufacturer, Lamborghini has unveiled the Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo racer.

The car was developed in collaboration with Dallara Engineering, with direct involvement by founder Giampaolo Dallara. Dallara’s history with Lamborghini dates back to 1963 when he worked as a Lamborghini engineer and later led the development of the legendary Miura.

The Huracan Super Trofeo is powered by the same 5.2-litre, V10 engine from the road car. However, it has been tuned to deliver more power - 620 hp, which is a gain of 9 hp. Tipping the scales at 1270 kg, the car weighs about 250 kg less than the road car. The weight reduction is attributed to the use of the hybrid carbon fiber / aluminum chassis. The Super Trofeo uses a rear-wheel drive setup.

The aerodynamics are said to provide better efficiency, traction and downforce using a ten-position rear wing, front and rear diffusers as well as adjustable front air intakes. The Huracan Super Trofeo runs on specially designed Pirelli tyres.

Lamborghini Huracan (STO) Super Trofeo Omologato revealed. The road-legal track focused machine is the successor to the Huracan Performante. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 producing 630 HP and 600 Nm. Does 0-100 km/hr in 3 seconds.
