This seems to be a very early prototype of the
2016 Jaguar XJ;
XJ was launched in late 2009 and is expected to be replaced by 2016.
As per Autocar UK internal roll cage and external sensors — is thought to be evidence of very early work on the next-generation XJ saloon.
New XJ will be based on the PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) which underpins the latest Range Rovers :thumbs up
As Jaguar is known for using body panels from its own family while testing the upcoming models (as recently seen on 3 series rival baby Jag borrowing body parts from the XF) this prototype
has borrowed parts from the existing XJ it seems.
