Just when we thought Lamborghini was done stealing the LaFezza's and P1's thunder at Geneva with the Veneno, here comes the actual mass-market 50th Anniversary present, the Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario.

Changes from the stock version includes a 20hp power bump, new beefed up bumpers and diffusers, the two tone interiors with CF bits and yes, the "50 Anniversario" badges.

To debut at Shanghai Auto Show.

What a beauty it is, the third photo looks like "teddy bear" nose - oh, just kidding.

The fourth picture is making the car look pure evil. However, the rest of the car resembles a blend of the LP-670 SV and an LP 570-4 Superleggera. Will look awesome in a darker shade though IMO.

On a lighter note, the first thing that came to my mind on seeing the front bumper treatment was a Mexican moustache and the episode of Top Gear where the guys build an electric car and Clarkson adds a moustache to it.

The styling does brings back what Lamborghini did to the Murcielago with the 670-4 Super Veloce ("SV") only missing link being the spoiler which i think is kept for another special edition

Same thought that goes through my head. Reminds me a lot of the Murcielago 670 SV, except I think that the Aventador looks a lot meaner, and I'm in love with it

Scorcher just a question which came up in my mind.
How are these limited edition cars sold ?

Is it on first-come-first-serve basis i.e. anyone with the money can buy it or the company(here Lamborghini) chooses the customers (based on a criteria like who has been their most "regular" customer or who owns the most number of Lambos) ??

Unlike Ferrari, Lamborghini takes themselves a tad lightly and sells cars the usual way. The special editions either through a first-come-first -serve basis or asks the dealers pick the most deserving of their clientele.

That was the case with the Veneno in which an LA based Indian ended up owning one

I believe that would be because it's the same shade, Grigio Reventon
