The new Jeep Grand Cherokee has been revealed.

IMHO, the front end looks ugly. The current is million times better. What were the designer smoking.

For information, the above is not the GRAND Cherokee, just Cherokee. Reviving the model which was long gone. It is a replacement for Jeep Liberty.

Regarding the design, I suppose they stuck other chord here. A New Design Direction? Remember the current design philosophy also debuted in the Grand Cherokee.

This version is rumored to be based on Alfa derived Chassis, so may be they are trying to give it more soft road-er look.

Autoblog: No word yet on powertrain or pricing, but previous rumors have the Cherokee riding atop an Alfa Romeo-derived platform also shared with the Dodge Dart, which will likely mean that the mid-size utility carries front- and all-wheel drive variants and four-cylinder power. Jeep promises the Toledo-built model will hit showroom

This will definitely be amongst the top 5 of worst car designs 2014!
I wonder how a few companies design awfully hideous cars and it even gets a Thumbs up from the company top officials!

Guess some Jeep designer bought a Honda CR-V!! and was inspired too!! I personally hate radical designs unless it has some elegance, this is way too weird looking than anything elegant!!

Oh God, can't understand the psychology behind such hideous designs. Apparently, the styling guys are among the highest paid in an Automotive company - for doling out this kind of crap? Moreover, I do not understand how they convince their peers and superiors that this thing looks good.

I was as shocked to see the front as I was when I saw XUV500's for the first time .I believe it will take us some time to digest it as with the XUV. The designers have gone a bit overboard while designing the headlamps, rest is classy and meet the standards.

I must mention that the dark color Jeeps here looks relatively good . It is to be seen what they equip the vehicle with and how they price it.
