Aston Martin has added more oomph to the already gorgeous Rapide sedan and made this – the Rapide S.

The most noteworthy aspect is that under that beautiful skin, lies a reworked 6.0-litre 558PS (up by 79PS) V12 naturally aspirated engine and the Torque stands at 620Nm vs 600Nm from the outgoing motor.
Aston claims that the Rapide S will sprint to 100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds and will go all the way to hit a top whack of 306 kmph.
Aston claims that the Rapide S will run 7.04 km to a litre of unleaded, a 7% increase over the earlier model.
Engineers from Aston have placed the engine 19mm lower than before and this, the company claims, along with the new Adaptive suspension gives the car nimble dynamics.
With this new suspension system, drivers are offered a choice of three modes, Normal, Sport and Track.
The Rapide's USP to its German competition was always its styling and Aston haven't tinkered with it much except for the front grille and boot lid updates. For those desiring more, there is always the optional Carbon Exterior Pack.
Sales for the Aston Martin Rapide S will start from February and prices will be announced close to sale date.

I used to see a light blue coloured Rapid in the Koramangala area (bangalore) about a year ago. The car always used to have 2 guys in the front and 2 ladies in the rear. Unless this one time I saw the car badly scraping the bottom on one of those "scientifically" designed humps that Bangalore is renowned for. Ufff! the sound. Ufff! the pain.

If the Rapid arrives with a diesel mill, the Panamera has a worthy competitor. But, then of course, I'd always choose the Rapid for that unique AM exhaust note.

Top whack bang same as the Panamera Turbo S! Just yesterday I was drooling over the panemara's(of course on the net ) interiors and its curves when you shared this today.
I am just in love with it.Had forgotten the Rapide since no new updates were there to it. But its love re-ignited, I am just in awe with the beauty of the interiors and after all the badge says it all "Aston Martin".

OT: Why dont the regular auto manufacturers opt for such beautiful designs. Every manufacturer could launch such models with the regular engines that they are offering in a particular market. This would a dream come true for many people. What we drive every day look so bland after some days. isnt it?

If the Verna's and SX4's of the world start looking like this, who will pay crores and crores of rupees for these cars? Ofcourse performance etc would be incomparable, but the looks matters as well!

P.S.: China may defy this logic in near future as 'IP' laws dont apply to Chinese manufacturers

Looks like super car manufacturers have realized the potential of sedan market or rather the more practical Super Sedans.

Rapide S is no doubt another mastro from Aston Martin. A strong contender for Panameras and Bentleys huh?

Aston Martin Releases New Rapide S Footage [Video]

Described as "the world's most beautiful four-door sportscar", the Rapide S is the most powerful four-door car Aston Martin has developed up until now thanks to its AM11 6.0-liter V12 that delivers 558 HP and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque.

The new Rapide S needs just 4.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standing start and can top speed is now rated at 306 km/h (190 mph). Moreover, the Rapide S is more efficient too, with CO2 emissions having dropped from 355 to 332 g/km and fuel consumption sitting at 14.9 liters/100 km (15.8 miles per gallon).

Woweee - one of the cars on my wishlist used to be the DB9, but I guess it'd be the new Rapide S now! I've always loved those old bond cars, but the new Rapide S indeed looks stunning. And, yeah there's one in B'lore indeed!
