Its beyond me that why car owners want to do this, The whole car is ruined in process as can be seen as most of these cars are for sale. Only car i like out of these is the Fiat 500 to Porsche, it looks straight out of some cartoon movie

Some of the Lamborghini replicas are quite convincing from the front at least. However, most of these are 'attempt at making replicas' because one can instantly figure out the shoddy job done.

An interesting thread nonetheless because I never imagined people would spend thousands of dollars on such attempts.

According to the dealer that sells it - Cats Exotics - this automobile is a limited edition James Bond 50th anniversary Spy Car. Apparently, only 50 examples were made and this is number 17.

The dealer also states that a group of private collectors came together to create the 007 Spy Cars and that the concept uses a Ford chassis and a Vanquish body in order to accommodate all the bespoke and awesome features it has.

It took over 45,000 hours to research and develop and another 2,500 to manufacture. All this just to make it look exactly like the original one used in the movie. And it comes with all the features you can imagine – hidden panels, guns and revolving license plates.

It has an automatic gearbox mated to a supercharged 4.6-litre Ford V8, carbon fiber interior trim a Pioneer infotainment system and push-button ignition. It may look close to the real thing on the outside, but inside, it's far form an authentic Aston Martin - i.e. the instrument panel and steering appear to be from an early 2000s Ford Mustang.

It costs $199,888, but you do get a framed movie poster personally signed by Pierce Brosnan and a signed plaque of the people who helped build it.

Though I wouldn't buy any of them, I must say some of the cars are eerily similar to the real deal! Though they would never drive or handle or have power like the original supercars, some of them look very real indeed.

Although, an enthusiast will be able to distinguish it very easily, the common man would pass one as a supercar easily.

In June of 1966 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the GT40 MKII made American racing history with a dominating 1-2-3 finish. The Shelby-American team produced cars that took the top two places. The GT40 has won more prestigious race events than nearly any other road-race car in history. 1992 Toyota Supra as Bentley Continental GT3 R

A Bentley Continental GT3 R replica body was recreated and screwed/glued onto the Toyota two-door coupe, with the seller claiming that nothing was welded or cut. The lights all around are also said to be genuine Bentley items, with the body featuring faithfully recreated stickers and stripes of the limited edition British GT.

The car comes with fresh fluids, an adjustable Tein suspension, 20in alloys and is registered in Holland. As for the price, the seller asks for 13,450 euros (around $15,000 in today’s exchange rates).
