The 2013 Hybrid Jetta debuts at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit !

World's first hybrid to use a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission
Most fuel-efficient Jetta in the lineup
Drives as a full EV up to 44 mph
Fastest compact hybrid in-class with an estimated 0-60 mph in less than 9.0 seconds Competitively priced with other compact hybrids
Premium features include LED taillights and Daytime Running Lights, plus bi-xenon headlights. Jetta range extended to five different powertrains, so there‟s now a German engineered compact sedan.

The introduction of the Jetta Hybrid marks the second gasoline-electric hybrid offering by Volkswagen. The sedan, which is as sporty as it is eco-conscious, is equipped with the most advanced technology and engineering of any car Volkswagen has ever offered in this class. This is good stuff.
Turbo charged gasoline direct injection VVT engine + DSG + electric motor.

This is what VW should sell in India.
And the 1.4 TSi is tuned for 150BHP!

I think ARAI should simply make hybrids mandatory

Why settle for 10kmpl when you can go 15kmpl without loosing any fun?
