That was a Trial Run & my first run with turbo, i was ahead of viper about 1 1/2 car length when I missed gear shift & was struggling to get in to gear & lost valuable time & thats when viper overtook me on the run.I know he must be very happy

Looking at the videos, its pretty apparent that the event was pathetically organised.
Same case as monkeys the guy standing at christmas light i was arguing with him & the light turns green, i was not ready that time but that guy insisted to go. even though i started late i managed to catch him at the end, dont know the timing though.

True, I had a bad gear shift & lost valuable time.

Are you Sure? I don't know about the timings but where 1/4 mile ends, I took a glimpse at the left & i could see you way behind.

Jitu,

Like I said "I think" as thats what it looked from my side. Am referring to the 2nd run, and I think I mentioned it to F50 as well. Anyways does not matter as even if I did that would have been a bonus. Never expected to beat your car
or even come as close as I did knowing what all you were running(forged internals, 1 Bar boost, drag slicks, LSD, weight reductions I think and lots of practice driving a B16 NA) compared to me running stock internals, 7 PSI boost, stock tyres, no weight reductions and zero experience driving a B16 leave aside TC'd B16. I think I did very well considering a diff of only approx .500sec.

Anyways was all in good spirit and congratulations on your run.

The first run when she did 10.5 was with a co passenger ( Farokh Commissariat ) , it was just a trial run.

So guys, take a bow..Refer to the thread 1200 bhp skyline, where all of you ridiculed me when i suggested the car had the potential to run under 8 second, which I still maintain.
ok, great the skyline did well.
Yaay for the raymonds skyline.

I have 2 questions:
1] Just curious as to what extent you were involved with this skyline ?
I have seen several of ur posts saying "we" while referring to the skyline , so Im assuming you have pretty big hand in this.
Since the speedrun is over and everyone now knows its a real fast beast...
can u explain in detail in the other thread(as I dont want to hijack this thread) what exactly was your role in this ? tuning?spare parts? pit crew ? stickering? etc etc

2] Second question is what about your silver/blue skyline ?
any reason you did not include it in the speed run ?
Im referring to the one mentioned here..

Available only in the US for drag racing.

Lucky guys can spot it late at night very occasionaly in Bangalore.

Dominator- now that the mysterious singhania's skyline is out in the open, could you now tell us the various mods that have gone into this 1200bhp car and what was your contribution to the making of the car. Probably an update on what all has happened from the time you posted about this car first upto the time this was unveiled at the speedrun. What are the future plans of singhania. Is he getting a new car for the next speedrun ? Any more mystery machines under wraps currently??

Does anyone know who got the best tuner award in both bikes and cars category? Nothing is mentioned regarding the same on Autocar website.

Paras, that Viva is 1.6 bored up to 1.8. As it was a pro stock category, this was according to the rules.

Alright heres somthing which i forgot to mention before, GS was testing his Skyline on the track on friday morning at around 11 am and during a run the suspension busted for some reason and looking at the car the chances that the car would run on sunday looked thin. But by saturday night they had imported the parts that got busted and he was again on the track practicing. Cheers for him ( G.S ) and his spirit for we all got to witness a 9.2 sec run.

It also has an automated launch control and cog-swap against my manual 6 speed, so, all-in-all, no shame losing to a clearly superior car!
I apologise once again and I repeat I only got to see the initial launch and that made me post!
