Have a friend whom I am trying to convince to let it be used for drags here in Gurgaon - is there any way to get sponsors & stuff for building it up - as he will surely not spend the kind of money it takes, Its 15 acres - so my guess is one could toy with the idea. A track or a drag strip or a racing tarmac - any ideas ????? I really wish we could have events like this in Delhi / Gurgaon..maybe it is wishful thinking. But someone has to start the thinking bit

Nitrous please check with your real estate agent ASAP. I really don't think the area on which the track is built is 300 acres. Maybe the whole land owned by the trust may be.

Narayan baba, I used to spend 1400 on a 256kbps connection from Tata. Now I spend 900 on 256kbps unlimited connection from BSNL. Its not about not spending more money, its about the service you get.

The Kari track is about 49 acres or so. I have a farm in Hubli that is 35 acres and I have a rough indication of how big it looks. For a good track one would need about 100-150 acres. I mean the track will be huge, maybe you can run a dragstrip alongside it as well. In a 30 acre land you can surely make a good dragstrip and maybe a good to use track too.

With 15 acres at disposal one should be able to build a good drag strip I guess. Will have to verify with my dad, he is the one who is good at these land conversions.

If the and measurements down south are the same as in most of the North .... then 15 acres in lay mans terms wud mean a plot size of about 3000 ft X 3000 ft ( approx -- on accurate calculations it wud be more ) !! An acre is roughly 210 ft x 200 ft .


to break it down into meters .. ull have to remember that 1 mtr = 3.3 ft !!!

Now go see if you can get a drag strip in there !!!
