Re: February 2011 : Indian Car Sales Figures

Looks like a decent month. Tata, VW and Hyundai have gained at the expense of Honda. Will post my analysis later.

Re: February 2011 : Indian Car Sales Figures

Big dent on ANHC sales because of Honda's global recall (last month it was over 5K). I hope they come back strong. Vento is catching up in the segment, it will be interesting to see how market reacts for SX4 diesel. Waiting for maruti suzuki sales numbers.

Thanks GTO for sharing.

Re: February 2011 : Indian Car Sales Figures

Thanks you GTO.

For a change Sumo numbers surpassing Xylos... indication to M&M to look into Xylos weaknesses. Even Safari's numbers are good, probably the adverts & the Rs.7.75 Lacs price are working well for Tata.

ETIOS & Vento both have dented City Sales this month it seems. Vento is trailing City by mere 120 units.
There is only 500 units difference in Dzire & Indigo (/Manza).

There is ain't any difference in Superb & Accord numbers... & an Evo X sold for Mitsu.

This month is full of surprises. Waiting for Fiat's numbers.

Re: February 2011 : Indian Car Sales Figures

Volkswagen's increased production is finally showing in the numbers. Both Polo and Vento at 3300+!! And still there's a 3 month waiting period on both the cars. I guess the numbers will go even higher.

Re: February 2011 : Indian Car Sales Figures

Wow such good number.
  • Vento surpassing Polo and very very near to City figures.
  • Etios, I would say is a dismal figure for them, come one even the Xylo is selling more than the Etios.
  • Ugly i10 has beautiful figures attached to it. kudos
  • What can I say abt MSIL, just Alto figures are higher than the second and third company's total. (i.e. Hyundai and Tata's total figures)
  • Figo is still the Star of Ford, the new fiesta to add some magic to this.
  • Endevour outselling TATA Aria, the pricing blunder..

Re: February 2011 : Indian Car Sales Figures

The continuous hike in petrol prices doesn't seem to have dented sales of petrol-only cars (Alto, Wagon R, Santro, I10, etc). Good to note that I10 continues to hold the silver medal this month as well.

Re: February 2011 : Indian Car Sales Figures

Tata Aria 173. That is quite sad.

The sales of i10 just shows how much we love the new i10 and i am guessing its mainly due to the AT sales.

Strange that VW Jetta has good sales volume considering the car is getting replaced.

Great to see
