Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Been planning to sell my 2014 April Hyundai Eon Magna+, registered in Kerala which has run 36k kilometres till date. The car is in pretty decent condition overall and has been regularly serviced. Can anyone guide me what would be an ideal price to quote?

Seen similar cars for about 13-14L in Pune-Mbai.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hello all,

I am on the lookout for a Hexa in the pre-owned market (based at Bengaluru) to replace my MY2010 TATA Vista.

I have on hand two offers described below.

Offer 1:
TATA Hexa XMA, MY:2017, 1st Owner, 22K Km done. Service records look clean except for front bumper replascement and wind shield fluid tank replacement (not sure why this was done). Accessories: Webasto electric sun roof, side steps, roof top luggage carrier. Quoted price: 15L

Offer 2:
TATA Hexa XTA, MY:2017, 1st owner, 21K KM done. Service records look clean. Accessories: Side steps, roof top luggage carrier, External TPMS, windshield camera. Quoted price: 16L

Would like to hear from experts on the following:

1. What would be the right price range to pay for a MY2017 Hexa (not including accessories) ?
2. Were the roof rails of the MY2017 HEXA capable of carrying goods by attaching a roof top carrier to it ? The roof rails were dropped on later year models. The SA at TASC said that it was because they were merely cosmetic.
3. Are there any niggles I need to lookout for during my PDI ? I did not find a specific HEXA niggles thread, and the official HEXA review thread shows up only one case of a wiper motor going bad in the early stage of ownership.
4. I plan to use the t-bhp PDI checklist (https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...-kulkarni.html (New Car PreDelivery Inspection List Part I, II, III and IV (by Kishor kulkarni))) once I finalize my purchase plans. Are there any other PDI checklists specific to pre-owned vehicles ?
5. How much can I expect for my MY2010 Vista (done about 42K KM and clean service records) ?

Thanks

Regards

I saw an advertisement (DELHI) a few days ago stating that Tata is offering 2L rupee discounts on HEXA. This is directly from TATA, not including dealer discounts.
That makes it around 2-3 L more than the classifieds listed.
You might wanna look into discounts being offered in your city, if you haven't already.
All the best!

The offers seem to be on the higher side. In Mumbai, 2017 XTA are available for 14 lakh. Have you tried finding a leftover hexa with a dealer? Recently a dealer in Pune sold an XTA for 2.8 lakh discount.

I did see one HEXA XTA listed on cars24. Their checklist seems to be good enough. However, the car has been listed for more than a month. So, I'm not sure if it's still there.

In case you are interested, here is the link https://www.cars24.com/buy-used-Tata...ru-1026270357/.

The price seems to be quite lower than the ones you mentioned.

Given that the car is in Hyderabad. You should get around 2.5L from an individual. So, list the price keeping in view the harsh quotes you might get from dealers. Had it been an auto, I myself would have considered it.

Thanks for the reply. I have plans of selling in KA/Blr itself. Let me see how it goes there.

I see many Olx listings above 3L for Honda City of the same vintage in Dilli. I am guessing anywhere between 2.8-3.2L is a very good price.
