Price of Used Getz GVS at Chennai

I am looking for an used Getz for my uncle in the 2-2.3l budget. Was expecting a good deal considering the fact hat Getz is phased out now.

Came across this 02/2006 Getz GVS which has done about 39k kms and dealer started off with 3.1, but not willing to budge below 2.7.

Car is in good condition but wouldn't value it anywhere above 2.3l.

The car is in Chennai, and the current GVS model costs 4.10 l ex-showroom (about 4.65L OTR Chennai).

What do you guys think should be the fair value i can pay for this car?

If I buy this car, can I buy extened warranty from Tata since Car might still be under 2Yrs Warranty?
Is it wise to go for Dicor?
Basically I am looking for a good used diesel(tata stable) for long term(5+ years) use under 3L.
Help with above queries please. If the price is correct I might go for it.
Since Am expecting to keep it for 5+ years , would there be any shortage of spares for DICOR engine, as it seems to have been discontinued?

You should get this car between 2.5 to 2.6L. 2.7L if it is maintained really well and has some additional accessories.

Not sure whether you can buy extended warantty check it out with Tata Motors dealer near your place.

Yes Dicor is a good engine and would be a good buy.

JackSParrow its good deal, but check service history in toyota service centres. Check for any body repair, glass replacement etc. 8 lac is good deal considering it has good accessories If it is Diesel.

Ravi.

2.5L is a good price if the car is in original condition. YES, you can claim additional warranty after you purchase the car. Do not worry about the spares, TATA spares are the easiest to get.

@Jacksparrow, these toyota people carriers(namely Innova & the Qualis) seem to have caught the imagination of the Indian public. They are ridiculously high priced in the used car market. The corolla which costs 13L goes for 6 L or less. Try to get it down a little & make sure the odo is correct & check the same with the service records.

Inspected the vehicle, took a short test drive- was very impressed . Car is in immaculate condition-all manuals, service records, papers in place.
Almost when am about to make an offer, the guy said he just committed an hour ago for 2.85L!!
I said I could have given him the same amount had he made his intentions clear yesterday itself, and still bettered the offer by 5K to 2.9L.
Just then the other buying party arrived and gave an advance of 10K for a total of 2.85L.
Guess what, they looked like dealers/taxi operators who are going to thrash the fine machine. Sad , very sad !!

You would be better with a TDi especially if you are looking to keep it for 5 years.

Used Santro AT Price?

Santro Xing AT, Non-metallic Red, Dec 2004 Model, 36000 KMS, with alloys, Panasonic HU with CD alone, First Owner.

Car is having 2 medium dents. One on boot door, and one on front left edge of the bonnet. There are some 5 to 6 scratches (just lines) all around.

The things to be worked/replaced in the car are:
1. Tyres are due for replacement. Currently running on 175/60/R13. Need to spend 14-15K.
2. Fixing dents (my buyer friend would not fix dents, but is expecting the owner to reduce the price)

Owner is quoting 2.4L, claims that Trident Hyundai has offered 2.2L for exchange.

What should be the price to seal the deal?

EDIT:
The IDV as per the Bajaj Allianz website for this model is 2.01L.
The used car price check feature in carwale.com quoted 2.48L for a 'Good' condition car. How reliable this is?

Best 2,60,500 Good 2,47,800 Fair 2,31,500 says carwale.

I would say get the car checked with the dealer. Lancer isnt a cheap car to maintain.

Though the car in question has been sold, the DICOR engine is not phased out it is still in service in Indigo CS (available in TDi,Dicor and MPFI petrol)so spares should not be a problem.

Looks like a good deal to me. Try the first quote at 2.25 and take it all the way up to 2.35. I Sold a 6 year old MT Santro LS which had covered 59 K kms for 1.9 L 3 years back.
