@claxtoncorreya - I would say 105k is the maximum that you can offer for this car. More over, please use carwale tool to estimate this car. It would give an approximate value that you can pay.

Do take a mechanic and get the car checked completely. The electricals and the engine performance. If possible try to pull out the service history of the car.

March 2008 manufactured, June 08 registered 2800km driven Alto lxi TOP end with ZEN mirrors with body color paint and body color bumpers, leather seats, remote lock, all door power windows, Plati Alloy wheel, Michelin XM1+ tyres, sony mp3 player with 4 duplicate speakers:: It has cost me 3 lacs on road. Colour is BLUE. I have purchased this in Oct. 08.

Its just over one year I have baught this car. Now ODO is at 12k. I am happy with it in City or highway!

I have seen a Black Linea MJD Feb 09 for sale ( 22km on odo) . Seller's quote around 8 lacs. Dealer says it would not fetch above 7-7.5l .

That is strange ! Espl when you see a great love for fiat 1.6 engine cars on this forum. I guess having seen fiat palio 1.6s sold out on the classified section pretty fast. If situation is that bad you won't have too many of them offered to resale unless he is in dire straits and needs the money badly. Rs 1-1.25 lac is too low and it doesn't help when you see similar used esteems selling for Rs 2.25-2.5 lac.

Secondly carwale gives a value of 1.56 lac for excellent condition petra 1.6 car in individual category. As far as the resale is concerned that will be after 4-5 years atleast and i've personally seen used ceilos more than 10 years old selling for 0.8 to 1 lac, petra is definitely better than Cielo.

Thanks for your reply, but doesn't it sound too optimistic at nearly 6L ? Its not a diesel car and I'm hearing from the market that there's no resale on the SX4 because of the apparent news that the car gives bad mileage. I was hoping at more like 4.6-4.8L ? Too low ? And yes, the car is maintained well, at maruti, but has its share of dings that you expect from Bombay city driving.

but carwale gave me approx 5.25L-5.5L and I've heard that nobody really gives the price which carwale quotes. So how does my offer sound that i've posted above ?

Another Fiat (palio 19 D) showroom condition, 2008 registered(2007 model) 18000 Km, was asking 3-4 lacs to start with now has come down to Rs 2.4-2.5 lacs. Again is it worth buying it as 1.9 diesel model has been discontinued unlike 1.6 petra where engine is same as in palio 1.6 which is still in production.

20k in 10 months seems a lot of running. Shave off 25% off the OTR price of the car.

4.5 to 5 L approx for a 1 owner, scratch less, well kept example.

2007 SX4 ZXI with 37k in ODO not more than 5.5 lacs. Normal price would be 5.2 lacs. SX4 has not good resale value and it does not fit to be in 8+ lacs car category. If there is scratch/dent or If you find any issue bargain hard.

If I buy this car, can I buy extened warranty from Tata since Car might still be under 2Yrs Warranty?
Is it wise to go for Dicor?
Basically I am looking for a good used diesel(tata stable) for long term(5+ years) use under 3L.
