25-30K at the most for a 2002 vehicle.

The extra equipment just doesn't count for this sort of resale value calculation - so he can keep the light bar, stereo etc and give it to you with original kit.

Quick update -

I saw one example close in the last week.
Zen Lx 2003 - good working condition (92000 km) - was quoted 90K INR.
The quote was lowered by owner to 70K INR.
He sold to a buyer at 65K INR.

I was anchored at 50K INR.
Another example-
Zen Vx 2000 - decent working condition (60000 km) - current quote (since a month) is 50K.
I have quoted 40-45K INR.
Seller says, he has a few buyers ready at 50K INR.

Perhaps, people have started appreciating Zens here in Pune :D

My search is still on for a good condition Zen in range of 40-70K INR.

Thanks,

Ace.

Hi folks!

Need your advice. I have been trying to sell my Skoda Fabia since a couple of months and have listed in the Classifieds section and another external website too.

Its a
2010 November model,
1.4 TDI Ambiente,
run 1,21,000Kms,
I am the second owner.
I have quoted Rs.3.3Lakhs (negotiable)

However, its not selling, and I am getting ridiculous quotes on the other website. Nothing from TeamBhp Classifieds.

The OBV is Rs.2Lakhs. What is your advice? How much should I let it go for?

TIA!

You'll be lucky if you get say 2.2 .. 2.3 lakhs for a really well maintained car, and with insurance still having a few months left to run, recent tyres and battery rather than both needing replacement etc.

That is almost double the going rate. I know the car is great, but the resale is not. 5-6 Lakhs is the normal price, maybe 50k more if you really like the car.
Try to take a car directly from the owner. I am sure this car was bought a few months ago and the dealer hasn't even bothered to renew the insurance on time or maybe its an accident vehicle, Have that checked as well with the local A.S.S.

Hi Guys,

What should be a good buying price for a Toyota Corolla Altis - G. August 2013 model. Run only 23k Kms. Single Owner. Bombay registration. Full service history. Car looks to be in very good condition but I still need to get it checked at a Toyota dealership. Dealer is asking for 8.75L - slightly negotiable. I offered 7.50L but he is not accepting the offer.

Regards,
SS

Subject to tyre / battery etc conditions I would guess you can get it for closer to 8 lakhs.

Up your offer by say 20k then instalments of 5k, 2k etc. Stick at 8 lakhs.

Is that petrol or diesel?

Hi hserus,

Tyres and battery are original. In good condition but tyres will need replacement in another 10k Kms. It's a petrol version. BTW, would appreciate any inputs on what is missing in the "G" variant compared to the "GL" and "V" variants.

Regards,
SS

Mostly accessories, interiors and such. Check these out for the current Altis

Dealerships generally allow only a 50k negotiation margin.I wouldn't recommend investing anything more than 6L in a used Altis. This car is like Dev Anand - never ages if maintained well.So even a 2010 model done 70k would be about as fine as a 2013 done 23k.

Post 2011 Altis came with the new engine with approx 8hp extra- that is all.Even the old 1ZZ-FE is a great performer.

You can compare the features across variants here

Yes but just depreciation / IDV etc values mean most people will be reluctant to sell a lightly used 2013 model at 6 lakhs. Even at closer to 8 that is a decent buy I would say.

I agree with @vigsom. Don't look at 2013 cars, something older say 5 - 6 years, which you can get for under 6.5 lakhs, you can comfortably run it beyond 2 lakh kms, so don't worry about the odo.

Or buy the current Corolla which was released about two years ago, and use it for the next 10 years.

Buy the diesel only if you are chauffer driven.

Depends on where .. anywhere closer to the coast like Goa where the OP is, or chennai where I am there'll be significant issues with rusting if you live near the sea. So sometimes an older car - even a beauty like a corolla - may not be as good a buy.

Hello,

What should be a fair price for

Car Condition

Had a look at night. Will look again on 7th
