Can someone help me out ?

I have a 2005 swift Lxi 1,00,000 on the odo
And a Santro xing Xo (top model), 2006 manufactured and 2007 registered 36000 on the odo.

I am looking for a replacement.

I got both of them valued by the ford guys,
The quoted 1.55 L for the santro and 1.65 for the swift.

The santro had an accident once and they had to replace the bonnet, the dicky and the left quarter panel as well.

Just wanted to know, am i getting the right price for my car ?

Need make a decision fast, so need an advice.

Well if you get a private buyer I think the Swift could fetch 1.85 to 1.9. The Santro perhaps 1.7 to 1.8

And what about the accident thing ?
If i tell any individual that the car once had an accident ?

Where do i find an individual buyer who knows changing the dicky or the the bonnet doesn't affect the car in any way.
Or do they ?
Its just a piece of metal, that too changed from an authorised Hyundai ***.

Not exactly any particular car. Just need some opinion. My heart is set on the Palio 1.6 and I have been searching various portals for the same.

First question: Is this some sort of harakiri. If i get a decent Palio 1.6, will spare parts be a very big issue in NCR. I am ok with its high maintenance and fuel bills but not with breakdowns/towaways and long spells at the service center for want of parts.

Second Question: This will be a trade off over a very peppy Zen Estilo Jan 2007 i have. Bought it from True Value (I am the second owner) and has done 26000 kilometers. Standard accessories installed with 2.5k old Michelin MX1. What can i expect for it ?

I am selling my Red Swift VDI 2008 that has done 63K till date. Car has new set of tires upgraded to 185 Profile recently.

What could be the best price i can fetch? I have been quoted 3.80 Lacs.

If the car is accident free and well maintained, I would pay 4 L, considering that the Swift now has a successor. But if you have a very good music system, it might fetch a slightly better tag. But 3.8L seems a bit on the lower side. Try fetching for 10-15K more (after all, diesels are having their day now!). Good Luck!

a friend in NCR recently picked up a 2008 Swift VDi with 78k on ODO for 4.05 Lac. You should definitely be able to get around 4.0 Lac on it.

I would not say a great music system but a decent music system from Sony with 4 JBL speakers & Two tweeters.

Indeed, 4.10Lac was my quote but real price one gets depends on whether car is sold to a genuine buyer or a car dealer. Car dealers would always try to keep good 10-25K margin.

That is good IMHO, so I would say 4.1L is not too much to expect. And like you have mentioned, dealers have their own sweet margin on top of your car, so why not try to get a direct buyer, instead of selling through a dealer then?
Felt pathetic when the Hyundai used cars dealer drove my dad's Accent paying us a 1.8L cheque after much bargaining, only to sell it for 2.2L three days later. I felt like - :Frustrati

Guys, what price can be expected for a Getz GVS (1.1litre) 2007 model, single-owner, black color, run 37000kms, with full insurance in good condition, at Chennai ? Thanks in advance.

Last month I was searching for Used Car in Rs. 2.5 to 3 Lacs budget & I was getting June 2007 Getz for Rs. 2,30,000 in Mumbai.

The dealer was ready for negotations & the ODO reading was 28500 kms.

Thanks,

Thanks, Jignesh. I guess Mumbai new-car prices are higher than Chennai due to taxes. If so, maybe 2lakhs or nearabouts sounds good for a 2007 Getz in Chennai, I guess...

Yes. Rs. 2,00,000 or Rs. 2,15,000 in Chennai seems a reasonable figure.

Also I have personally seen dealers quoting very low prices to Getz sellers stating that people are not buying this car anymore & then they sell same car at very high margin to potential buyers.

Thus if you can get a direct buyer for your car, I feel you will get a better price.

Thanks,

Guys? Anyone? Otherwise this won't stay with him for long please:

No comparison from car to car but you get a Swift for the 4.5, so 4.2 is max from me if you really like the car that is otherwise its 4.

Biju, 2007 Getz, if you can sell it, it is priceless almost. Yes 2L is a GREAT price if your friend got it 'cos no one will be willing to buy an used Hyundai petrol for anything other than a great DEAL. Pl ask your friend to give it off for this great price.
