A price of around 13 to 13.5 lakhs would be a good deal. For anything more, you are better off buying new.

You should get around 2.5 lakhs for this car at a minimum, as that is the highest that Spinny and Cars24 offer, but these Fiestas aren't popular, so I would advise you to keep it as long as you can. However, if you are keen on selling, get a quote from Cars24 and Spinny and check out OLX as well. Some sellers quote exorbitant prices around 4 lakhs or more, especially in the south, where diesels are popular, but in the North, any price above 2.5 lakhs seems good.

Thank you for your inputs. If you can be kind enough to guide further I would be grateful.

I am evaluating another 2 cars
2023 ZX CVT 30k kms asking 15.5 direct owner. I think a realistic fair price would be around 12 however we have not discussed pricing yet.

2023 ZX manual 15k kms asking 11.5 ( non negotiable from a dealer)

I intend to install a CNG and have preference for automatic as my daily commute is approx 110kms so when my driver takes an unannounced holiday it’ll be easier for me to drive vs taking an ola/uber, which is what I do now since I have a manual and dread my return commute which is approx 2.5 hours.

Let me have your thoughts please.

Wouldnt an EV or Diesel work much better instead of buying a petrol and coverting it to CNG? There is the hassle of safety, cost, RC change and almost NIL resale later.

The EV will pay for itself in double quick time given your mileage.

For the ZX CVT, a price of around 12 to 13 lakhs seems fair, assuming it's in good condition. 15.5 lakhs is overpriced, a New ZX CVT in 2023 hardly costs 18.5 lakhs to begin with, and a new one today costs 19.75 lakhs (all prices on-road Mumbai), and with offers of over 75k, this comes down to 19 lakhs, so 15.5 lakhs is way overpriced.

The ZX Manual is quite a good deal at 11.5 lakhs and is the one worth recommending based on price alone from all those mentioned by you. However, do ensure all of these are in excellent condition before finalising.

From your requirements, you should go for a car with CNG factory fitted, but your requirement of an automatic makes things complicated. You could consider a diesel automatic car too, or even a hybrid, but these are quite expensive.

Do check out these options like a 2022 Hyryder or Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid, maybe even a slightly older 2016 or so Camry; however, if you are adamant on a City, why not a City Hybrid like this one? It is a bit expensive, but you get all that you need. best if you could negotiate and get in the 17 lakh ballpark. Considering a new one costs 25 lakhs OTR, even at 18 lakhs it ain't too bad, albeit a premium.

I fully agree with you. My excel sheet calculation shows me that a 12L altaroz diesel is equivalent to a Creta electric base model in costs over a couple of years with my running after resale. Unfortunately I do not want to cross a threshold of 15L as I also prefer maintaining a low profile at my place of work which is why I was thinking the aftermarket cng route.

Had spoken to him a few days ago his last price was 18.25 which I felt was too high. If he would have said a number close to 17 I would have surely sat across the table to close. The car is 25L new , hardly sells, so has higher depreciation than the ice city and is over 2 years old, so 30-35% less should be a minimum.

Still learning multi quotes however I agree with you 12.5 for the 2023 ZX CVT 35k kms would be a win win for both seller and I since dealers are quoting 13.5 for 9k km run 23 ZX CVT and 11.25 for a 22 ZX CVT 30k kms.
I have requested for a 3rd party inspection from go mechanic which the seller has agreed to. Challenge with most direct negotiations is that a lot of times the negotiations are based on what one feels or believes the car is worth, instead of hard data points, which in this age of the internet are plenty. Additionally I have seen egos also ruin deals that could easily be closed if both parties wished to.

Fingers crossed that the seller echos my mentality if the inspection goes well.

Then why not look for a Nexon or Punch EV? The trunk space in a larger car will anyway be used up by the CNG kit. Punch EV is as low profile as it comes :-).

Please consider safety when using external CNG kits.

I did check out the nexon EV. Found it cramped in the front and back. Also not sure but I think’ did it lack cup holders ?!!

I agree on the safety as I have always used factory fitted and I am trying to connect with people who have installed aftermarket cngs with automatics. If there are any BHPians who have done the same would be great to understand in detail about their experience.

My 2 cents:

You are essentially looking at daily refilling with that kind of running and traffic conditions. Even if you look past the inconvenience of getting off while refilling, or the problems that creep up with aftermarket installations, there will be a point in time when the range anxiety gets to you. Your best bet is to get a diesel automatic. Cars like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos are dime a dozen on our roads. You can avoid unwanted attention while enjoying what is probably the most sorted drivetrain setup this side of 20 lakhs. Even the Kia Carens is a great car to be chauffeured in.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi Guys,

What would be the right price to pay for a Maruti Brezza Vxi AT in Goa? It's a 2024 model. Run only 7800 Kms. Single Owner going abroad. With extended warranty of 2 years. Owner is asking 10.5L.

Regards,
SS

10.5 Lakhs is an excellent price for the model you mentioned, provided there is nothing wrong with it, like accidents, replaced parts, or the like. You can go ahead with the deal at this price, provided the car is in good condition. This seems to be a distress sale owing to the owner moving away, and if you like the car and it is in excellent condition, take the plunge.
