My thoughts exactly when i saw the pictures.
Where has the Lamborghini showroom been relocated to?

But in any case, nice to see another Porshe Centre open up in the country.

OT - I heard that KL has almost all cars that're sold in India, especially EKM. I also heard that, if there's a new model of car launched in India, KL7 would've registered one. Not sure though.

+1; the first impression I got was, "Is this India?". Look at the beautiful tiled pathway, lawn & impressive glasses in the front. Even the building itself is low roof like the ones in aborad. Gives me an impression like somewhere in Europe & doesn't even look like Delhi. Must be somewhere in suburbs & not in the city.

OT: In EKM, the NH bypass has Hyundai, Chevy, Tata/Fiat, HM/Mitsubishi, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, VW, Audi, Merc, BMW and Porsche (used to be a Skoda showroom earlier, I think). I think there are Maruti and Mahindra showrooms as well on the same route, but not sure. Ford has a service station on that road, no showroom AFAIK - although the Ford showroom is within half a km of the NH bypass. Skoda is slightly further away.

This was the original Bentley showroom, that became the Bentley/lambo combined showroom. The Bentley/Lambo combine then moved to the Samrat Hotel (next door to the Ashoka).

How come there is no Porsche Centre in Bangalore? I mean, there are so many exotic imports here. Its about time they opened up one here I say. Of course, I will just go there and drool!

OT: Is one allowed to take a Porsche car for a test drive? Just curious.

rjalihal, I don't know when will they open in Bangalore, but about the test drives yes it depends on what cars they stock. In Ahmedabad they have the Cayenne S and the Cayman S for test drive which they will gladly let you test drive.

New Delhi (where the Ashok is situated) was conceived and built as an imperial capital on a grand scale by the British to showcase the empire. I think the other capital that was built along similar lines was Johannesburg.

The suburbs that you refer to were built later and were not conceived along similar lines.

Almost all rulers built their capitals ambitiously, subject to availability of finances of course- Lalkot, Siri, Tughluqabad, Jahanpanah, Dilli, Shahjahanabad, New Delhi and so on

Regards
