Your Next Car?

My next car is definitely a Scoprio. This is the only one I can find in the Indian auto scene that is bit sturdy, lot of space and the looks. No more hatchbacks and sedans. Wish the day would come fast.

for me it would be either fortuner or captiva. Inclined more towards fortuner for its sheer road presence and bullet proof toyota reliability. And it has to be in white.

nice thread..got me thinking...lol ! the Audi has burnt our pockets quite badly so surely no big sedan for a few years. If VW launch the polo with the 1.6 diesel with the DSG then i dont think we would hesitate much before going for that stunner. If not , then maybe a BMW or Audi small hatch if they launch 1 in future. Reallllly interested in the Audi A3...it will surely be steep but still !,...one WOW of a car !

My next would be a Mahindra Thar.
Will dispose off the unwanted Scorpio.

Also I am itching to replace my little M800 with another city dweller the Nano.

Safari + Thar + Nano should be my garage a little further down the road.

My next car would be Mitsubishi Outlander in 2011 if we decide to sell the cedia & budget permits and if we decide not to sell the cedia and just add a 3rd car in the house it would be Fiat GP MJD.

P.S. we dont have a personal car concept in my house, all driven by all.

With this increasing fuel prices, many of us would have changed the plans of getting a gas guzzler. Our plans.

Alto 1.1VX - Being dad's favorite and its just 50K on odo. It is powerful and returns decent mileage figures like 16Kmpl with AC in mixed driving. Very VFM car and No reason to sell it.

Palio 1.2NV Sport - Its my first love and still virgin (just 40K on odo). Its a real hot hatch and love to keep forever but low FE (10-12Kmpl in mixed drive) is a real issue these days when Petrol price in KA is 60 bucks. Entry level diesel sedans like Logan/Ikon is tempting but she's too cute to be sold for such a small price. She might be with me for couple of years more unless I move out of KA.

Accent CRDi - Its our regular commuter and has clocked 80K plus on ODO. But none of us are in love with her plus we do not have a bigger commuter. High chances for an entrylevel MUV/SUV to replace her in another year also. Not decided whether it would be a Xylo/Innova or Safari/Scorp or the upcoming models under 10L band.

My next car should definitely be an European one - in line with PlatzdaTurbo (if it is launched) I shall jump for VW Polo 1.6 DSG (and convince my dad to pay bulk of the money for it by framing it as an upgrade to his 11 year old M800

- dad has a weak point for VW).

I have planned to keep my A-star for the next 10 years. After that I will look for a hybrid (Possibly those will be launched 10 yrs down the line).

hence going for a laura tdi 2.0 this week.

listening to heart and wallet - punto sport whenever it launches (heart says it should happen today, wallet says let it happen after 2 months)
