Thanks Mustang. Yes. I prefer white.

Anyway regarding your comment on the color, I would advise leave it undecided, you never know going by the demand, I would recommend have you options open get the car which is available at the time of taking delivery. So that you dont end up getting disappointed on color choice.
Or is that mandatory to define the colour now?
Thanks xingamazon...No not mandatory to define immediately. But atleast in a weeks time as the dealer has to update Ford on his color requirement.
I am doing reverse work - that what colours we do not like and to pick the remaing one.. then also it is not an easy job..

Thank god its at bhagat ford, they are the best dealers in the country. Tire upgrade is really not required. Its a good tire size & 205/50 R15 would be too huge for this car & i dont think it will be suitable.

Tyre Gurus please comment!

got the call from MPL ford, gave me the VIN no, they haven't got the car yet, it will reach them by Saturday. Next week i will have MY FIGO. They are hesitant about checking the car at the yard. She said you could have an inspection before the car goes for registration. What do you guys suggest ? Mustang, Gilead, Brix any thoughts??

6th visit to Lathangi Ford and this time the sale people are not running away from me :-) That means my car has indeed arrived in Bangalore. Made additional payment of 25 K which is needed for bank to release loan money. I can see the car tomorrow at their showroom itself. On Saturday, they plan to do registration and by evening, I should be taking my baby home ! I have asked for fog lamps and 3M cooling films. ( 2400/-). USB cable is not available now, will have to do it later.

The managed to save the VAT increase I guess, by showing it in stock by 31 March. So no change in ex-showroom price, but I will still pay 1% extra for road tax.

Congrats! I bet the wait must have been agonizing ever since you booked.

Cant ford address this issue about dealers not letting us see cars? Its too late for me but for the other this will be really helpful.
So far its not the car but the dealer that makes the overall experience bad! The car is wonderful from what little I have driven it.
Your dealer is nothing but a crook. Even my car had a tiny scratch when it was delivered but they themselves pointed it out to me. The GM of the dealership personally apologized for it and they made a note of it in the delivery note. They sent someone to pick up the car the next day, fixed it and returned it. And of course PDIs by customers are allowed. MPL Ford allows it in the yard or in the showroom before registration. Metro is just BS-ing. They need a tight slap on their face from Ford. Ford can't afford to have rogue dealers spoiling their name like this.

Flashy colors are used for marketing but they don't always sell and nor are they produced in great numbers to start with. The Fiesta is marketed with the Aquarius 1.6S but probably less than 500 of them have sold till now.

Why is ford still taking booking for non-available colors? In each varient atleast one color is not available. eg: silver in diesel titanium, sea grey.
You should stick to the color you want. I understand where you are coming from. Even I wanted one color only and I probably would not have bought the car if I did not get the color.

Congrats! Good thing they are giving more realistic dates now.

Looks best in white to me.

Must be a titanium feature. Probably would have cost them more to remove that bulb from the dash.

You can inspect either in the yard or the showroom before registration. Both work. They are always hesitant about letting customers see the yard because they might cancel the booking if they did.

Mustang, that's guaranteed ..Provided I get access to internet within 3 hours of delivery ! Regarding the insurance, I finally decided to go with dealer offer for Bajaj. Now their quote is somewhat matching with what I got direct from Bajaj. ( about 15 K without Drive Assure ). I have an offer from Chola for about 12 K, but I have a prefer Bajaj for ease of claims. Dealers of course discourage me from going for Chola saying that cashless facility won't be there with Chola as they are not in Ford's preferred list. Is it true ? Since dealers saved me from 5K VAT hike, I thought I will give the insurance to them. ( Also, it is a preferred insurance company for myself). But at no point they told like it is mandatory to go with in house offer.

@aditya116: great choice of car and colour. The only thing that kept me away from my beloved punto was the A.S.S experience that kept taking a lot of my time. Wish ou a happy ownership of a great car

And for the madding crowd that are behind the Figo. I thought you would be interested in this.

Yes thats true, Chola is not a ford preferred company. Good thing you went for BA.

I repeat again, Ford preferred insurance companies are:

1) Bajaj Allianz
2) IFFCO-TOKIO
3) ICICI Lombard <-------- Sucks big time. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED

@Gilead - Thanks... They told one month. I specifically extended another month so that the dealer is also not under pressure. And also Ford would have done minor fixes which are faced during the 1st three months of the launch.
