Unveiled: Nissan Micra - The brand's small car for India

The micra will be at Ludhiana's showrooms in 2-3 days only for display and that too the top end model.

No test drive or nothing just for display. And the official launch is mid July.

I think its a nice move from nissan as people can compare it with its rivals before its launch and will wait for it to buy it. (who likes it)

From the pictures I have seen of Micra, it looks like a extremly small car with cramped interiors, let's wait and watch how much space is relly on offer, this at a time when we have hatch's like Vista and Figo around. The biggest selling point however could be a diesel engine available on the same.

Just got a call from Lakshmi Nissan stating that top end MT model is available for display in there Banjara Hills show room.

I am heading to there show room and if possible will post the pictures tomorrow.

Is Nissan launching Micra with Automatic Petrol and Diesel also the same time?

I think the A/T will be launched little later after the launch of M/T. Because most of the car in India are launched in M/T first then later the launch the A/T version.

As per my conversation with SP of Nissan show room only MT is being launched as of now and they have no clue about the diesel version.

ok, the micra is here at ludhiana dealer. going there and will click some pics and post here..
the dealer is about 30 sec walking distance from my office.

I just managed to see the nissa micra. It was in unfinished condition like the wheel coveres were not installed not washed etc etc, it was just like the car came out of the trailer.

The first impression was the car is cute. like we can say modded spark but better lookings than spark from the front.

The roof is not just plain, it has an ARC kind of desing on it and added to its cuteness.

It had skirts and spoiler but were removed for the paint.

It had climate control / Push Button Start / Automatic foldable OVRMs ( when you switch off the car the OVRMs fold and opens when we start the car) with side marker light / Red color Illuminated Door Sills plates.

The driving and the passenger seats in the fornt are comfortable, but the rear seats are not, they are just like Phatta with foam on it.

But it had leather seat covers. The leg room was good at the back after adjusting my seating position on the driving seat. ( I'm 5'8" )

The dash reminded me of logan's dash. :( , thats the only thing i dint like in the car, though the finish was good ( not as good as teana or x-trail ) but the texture on it was like of logan's.

This car will be officially on display on 25th of May, and will start the booking there after.

sorry for pics quality. the camera on my phone is not so good even after spending 32k on "HTC HD"

@monty9991, terrific scoop, Micra looks to be a good car. I agree with you on the cuteness factor too. Sad to know that back seat is a disappointment, AutocarIndia also mentioned the same in its preview. As for dash looking like Logan, not many know that its actually based on the Clio/previous micra platform. When will the test drives start?

not yet, but may be when its launched.
becasue the dealers will only have one car each, hence cannot give the test drive on the display model.

1.How big is the car dimensionwise( length / width / height ), compared
to the Swift?
2.I feel the side profile of the Micra resembles that of the Spark.
Whats your opinion?
3.Are the Seats low set?

1. i think its the size of swift or little smaller in lenght but not as wide as swift. not sure about the dimension but its just according to the looks.

2. nop its does not. spark has simple contoures but micra have some fancy curves.

3.fronts are ok, but the rears are lower than the fronts.
