With small Hatches in India, the prob is with tall drivers not with short ones. Unless you wife is really tall, otherwise its all good.
As for keyless entry and steering mounted coltrols, I dont think these are any drawbacks. Its just fine. Beat is not large as Ritz. A difference of 50K will make a difference. Many ppl bought Spark just coz its something different.

Chevy just has to make sure that they market it well. And it will be one Maruti Killer and would sell like hot cakes.

Killer price.

Competition is only getting sweeter for the customer.

I wish GM all the best and hope this will set the trend in coming year. VFM pricing.

Will beat be offered with 3 years zero maintenance package. If it is (i am sure it should be) is a great package! The instrument cluster look so neat an beautiful.

I am tempted to sell my i10 (1.1L) and get this!

Killer pricing. The free 3 years maintenance package would be icing on the cake.

i think 3 year no maintenance charge will be a big factor for people to opt for this car over i10 1.1.

plus also the 21% more power thing.

Great job with the pricing, GM! If people can get over the in-your-face looks from the front, this car is surely a worthy contender. However, if GM intends to get into the volume segment, they better ramp up their service centers for the same.

Personally, i feel if the Spark didnt opt for the centre mounted speedo console, it would have still pulled in more customers, making it an even bigger success.

There are actually 4 versions (according to the website)
PS
LS
LT
LT(O) - This has the ABS, Airbags and Alloys as part of the Option pack.

So is the price mentioned in the first page was for the LT or the Option pack?

I read in OD that 3 year maintenance pack is extra for around 13.5K INR.
Also, LT is the price mentioned in the first page. LT(O) is around 4.34L INR
I liked the look from exterior. Need to look from inside and especially the backseat after the claustrophobic pic of the last seat in GTO test drive.

fantastic

killer pricing. the sporty interiors are definately going to attract the young buyers.

i am sure we need to add cost of changing tyres to the ex-show room price. Those punny looking tyres are big let down!

Nice to see indian consumer becoming king after years of monopoly!

May be this will bring GMI to its knees, and GMI will become wholly owned Subsidiary of the Chinese company. Irrespective of what Carl Slim says, Ma GM dont have much interest in GMI. Why would American Tax payer money spent on a Indian Loss making unit. I am not running to the Beat dealerships yet. If Maruti/Hyundai reduces prices because of Beat, that will be a boon for the Indian consumer.

That's a very wishfully though pricing. GMI is seriously firing on all cylinders. But it still has a long way to go before it can threaten MSIL but atleast they have started this year on a good note. Now all we want is a peppy diesel engine with AT.

Great pricing. The fully loaded version coming for 4.34 is a great thing for customers!
