re: The best car ads

Nice thread must say. Though I voted for the Dicor ad which is definitely impressive, one ad that has really stuck over the years was for Peugeot 206. The execution brillianty communicated the aspect of aspiration and the music at the end was well, very atitudish, also happens to be one of my fav songs

Going OT here ...

Recently saw TVS Wego ad. Girls dancing & posing on Wego behind there boyfriends. I liked the ad very much. Cool idea to show the bikes capacity

I am also fan of recent ads of Nano. Really cool. I am sure these ads will surely increase sale of Nano, specially in rural area

re: The best car ads

The recent ad of Tata taking a dig at their Japanese counterpart id by far one of the best(funniest and sensible).
Few Japanese engineers dressed in proper lab coats are being asked by a top executive, standing next to a Manza,"Do we have.." The executive asks questions with his team members, who do not have any answers and in the end, he boots him inside and takes for a spin. A must look ad.

^^^
This was my first thought on seeing this ad that I should post it into the TV Ad thread on teambhp. Sorry, I got late and thanks for posting.

I think one of the fellow whispers the other to suggest their boss to buy one! The boss buys one and pack that fellow in the boot, truly big enough for even to pack both of them

The tata dicor. Where do u see urself/the corner cabin/the airport lounge wala ad!

What an ad. I quit my job soon thereafter because the msg was driven home- is it worth striving for a corner cabin.

Of course a year later I am joining back in the same kind of job again after finishing up all my savings.

Yes, the cooolll Manza ad.
Saw it a week ago on TV, wanted to post it first here, but got busy(gotta prepare for board exams)
IIMR, there was an earlier Tata ad showing the Japanese testing the Indica V2(or was it pre V2?) over many surfaces and tests,
And at the last scene bowing before the row of Indicas.
C'mon the next gen Indigo will blow away everything.Next what , pissing off the Germans?

re: The best car ads

The fake noise spoils the Honda Accord Ad as it is more focussed on comfort rather than performance.

Honda ad bring back the recollection of old Optra ad, focusing on sunroof. The Optra ad was much more romantic and the music was something difficult to forget.

re: The best car ads

I found the new Honda Accord commercial to be pretty dull. The concept isn't clear, the actors are lame!!!

I mean, if a couple is on a date/drive out of the city, why does the girl sleep?
They're on a date right, she should be excited!
Besides, the engine grunt/growl that they've added is a total let down!

Very poor marketing for a car of this standard.

Plus isint it kind of illegal (not sure of that in India but it is in US) for the front seat passenger to sleep while driving! It can potentially make the driver doze as well! Goes to show how much safety conscious society we are!!
very poor ad.

re: The best car ads

AFAIK, in the ad , the girl is/was asleep and think she is on her bed( "Make me some coffee, na?" ) So the guy must have took her straight from the bed and she didn't woke up even with the spirited driving. Kinda showing the blend of luxury and sportiness.
BTW, @joslicx- are you sure that it's illegal.
I mean i know the fact that an asleep co front passenger can make the driver drowsy.
( The irony being i came to know of the fact from a Highway patrol awareness drive from our own police in midnight traffic )
