I agree with Sush. I still love the way it looks and rides. If M&M would have not killed it by over pricing it, probably I had one in my parking lot.

Who cares, I am now eyeing a scorpio

On a serious note if one plans to keep the car for 5-7 years then low resale won't matter much. I am not marketing it but it's really a good car.
I know sir - I do own one. We test drove cars that cost twice as much and then picked her up for the space and ride levels that she offers.

But its so disappointing to see Mahindra kill a good product. The cheesy looking Play is a case in point.

I do not blame Mahindra here. It is Renault that is to be blamed. It is probably their greed that has killed a good product.

If they had to do a special edition.. they could have taken some tips from their colleagues. Attaching pictures of the special edition from RenaultSport Brazil. Save for the yellow paint and the stickering job, I really liked the mild skirting and the grey wheels.

I did the same thing. I had a budget of 6.5 lakh and test drove Aveo 1.4 (2 times), Fiesta 1.4 (2 times) and the Logan 1.6 (3 times). My wife's and my unanimous choice was the Logan. I love the gearing ratio in this car.

Amtak, I think it's not the greed but the non localization of parts.

I have read Mr. Mahindra attributing the pricing of the car to "ridiculous import restrictions". What does that imply? Many components of the car are not yet localised...? If that is the case who all can we blame? Mahindra, Renault, or our own tech. competence?

if its not localized, probably because Renault didn't allow them to do it. Mahindra has one of the best R&D arm and improves its vehicles on an on going basis.

Hi,
I drive a Renault Megane 2.0 Sport Auto and it delivers a fabulous performance. of course, i do not have to contend with the pot holes but a lot of start-stop traffic.

i have used Meru Logan in Bangy and liked the performance. Those drivers were hitting my home from Airport (48 KM) in just under 45 minutes. given a choice to buy a car in india, i would select Logan just for the performance (as i do long drives 1300+ KM one way - once a year - with family and luggage).

Logan sales are happening

Mahindra Renault Logan is celebrating by giving a Rs.60000 discount on purchase of a new Logan. They are celebrating for establishing more than 10 Lakh customers worldwide. That means Logan does sell in the market and that is why there are so many customers. I have always considered Logan as a good Value For Money car. This offer is lasting till 31st Dec 2009. So if anyone planning to buy Logan better cash in on the offer.

Unless I'm mistaken, this offer is available on the Logan throughout the year.

Why not this one?

I really wished they could at least done some cosmetic changes like the one in pics below instead of those funny looking graphics and alloy wheels.

I liked this car for the ride and comfort. Even the overall quality is good. but the looks
