Well done dockap, 'Skoda Auto India' deserve some bad publicity internationally as well.

Excellent job greenhorn - I was wondering if it will help to put Kapil's evo's and my case separately to give instances of shoddy service?

Assume that I know nothing about wikipedia in case this sounds like a dumb question.

Beware while going to this SO CALLED FREE SERVICE. You might end up coming with replaced fake parts. Nice way to fool ppl on the pretext of providing free service.

great work there. Briskoda is a very active skoda forum and i believe the skoda auto people are also active on that.
it will turn out to be a hard hit on that forum, but we need to present all the cases here more proactively on that forum. dont know how the mods on that forum will co-operate for the same.

YC.BALENO, we had discussed this earlier. that is a 'sales' satisfaction survey. new cars which havent seen thea service center from the inside. the customers havent gotten down from their cloud yet. there are no surveys which poll after sales support. Id like to see one.

diffsoft, were your and evo's complaints covered by any newspaper / magazine?

I think evo's complaint was covered by a magazine, whose screen shots has been provided somewhere.

No, mine was not covered. There are legal notices, emails, copies of forged signatures, letters to AutoCar and others (which did not get covered) and letter to Skoda Chairman with response from Thomas Kuehl.

How about adding mouthshut.com entries also to Wiki?

If you check: the dealer satisfaction is nil almost unanimously.

Unfortunately, Mouthshut doesnt seem to carry much credibility on it, thanks to its non-moderated reviews, where just about anything passes off as a review. It certainly wont hold much weight to be portrayed as user feedback.

Lol, that is a first time in the world i guess! Fractional valves! Or they are designed to open incompletely to get the effect of 2.66 out of 3 (or maybe 4! )

So, finally Skoda agreed that Octavia is not belongs to C+ segment (Civic, corolla etc).

They are now putting it into C segment (ANHC, Verna, SX4, Linea, Fiesta etc.)

So, they have now excepted they have fooled the 30,000 octavia owners, by selling the car with extensively high price (4-5 lacs more than what should be.)

Another new point on how Skoda had cheated Indian customers.

The Chakan plant will produce the Fabia till VW launches the golf/polo (not sure which), is what i remember reading on ET.
