Nice pics . I loved to see the operations inside. got any more?
How are they bringing in the bus chassis. Do they put it together in that same building?
Lovely pics, would love a explanation as a caption on the pictures so we can get a clue on exactly whats happening?

I had the fortune to attend the press meet & inauguration function. It was indeed a luck to meet some respect personalities like Dr. Schmidt & Dr. Haller and to interact with them very closely. I also had meet some VIPs whos vintage cars were displayed in the event. And last but not least friends from the media whom I used spend some moments on these type of functions.

The building looks spectacular at all times of the day! I couldn't believe it was in India (esp the daylight pic) till I saw the Indica. :D
Excellent pics and I must say, you're one lucky chap!
awsome pics there.. the best ones i found were the classic benz's parked there and those spectacular looking 1210Ds the red fire truck and the other one.. those are real real rare and exotic in Mumbai now.
Some more photos from the press kit.
The place has the clinical look of a hospital operating room! Awesome.
Too good, I read about the move in the papers but something happens when you see stuff!! the facility looks great...

Very nice pics those...:thumbs up
And the place looks great too. Just hope it remains that way and doesn't get "Indian-ised" and ill-maintained.

I think it will remain as is. I had an opportunity to visit their old plant last year. It was as neatly maintained as this one.
Thanks!

You are true, I've visited the earlier plant at Pimpri 4-5 times between 2001 to 2008 & I've seen it in the same quality & neatness maintained in all my visites.
The old plant has been awarded the best Merc assembly plant outside Germany for five years in a raw and while judging for this award the parent company will send a team for panel to decide the award.
