Petrol by Rs. 10, diesel by Rs.3. Yipeee

Petrol & Diesel prices have been reduced by Rs.5/- & Rs.2/- respectively.

Petrol is reduced by Rs. 5 per litre .
Diesel by Rs.2 per litre . Effect from midnight.
No changes for LPG and Kerosene.

This a good movement from goverment side. They will do the rest part before the General elections.

Just saw it in the news - have a couple of highway trips this month - they'll work out cheaper now!

Great News and just in time. Was planning for a tank refill today. It will come into effect from MIDNIGHT therefore will go tomorrow.

in Pune on 2nd December 2008 its 55 Rs per litre for normal petrol... anyone beat that price?

the govt has announced a cut of Rs. 5 in petrol and 2 in diesel prices today.

Deep,

Don't lose heart yet.. This is only an 'interim measure' before they discussion and take decisions on more possible cuts. I quote from Rediff below:

The government on Friday cut the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 2 a litre, respectively, as an interim measure while watching the international prices before effecting more cuts.

As an interim measure, the government has decided to cut the prices with effect from midnight, Petroleum Minister Murli Deora said in Mumbai.

I hope they govt will budge and announce about 2-3 more rupees cut, if not another 5... Being a potential petrol car buyer before end of Dec, this is good news to me

India govt. has cut Petrol price by Rs 5, and Diesel price by Rs 2.

Initial implications were that Petrol price may be cut by Rs 10, and Diesel price may be cut by Rs 3. Do you think this cut is OK?
