Long queues at petrol bunks. Someone has to run a poll "Do you fill the fuel (full tank) before the new prices come into effect or not"

Shell normal will no longer be available from Feb 16th, per the Shell bunk at Raj Bhavan Road. So I said adieu to him and wished him good luck.

In Bangalore they have stopped it long back, only super diesel and petrol is avialable. They are losing customers for a very simple reason.

With hike in price again i think Shell and Reliance will have to plan the hike in the prices

I was refused normal petrol today by staff saying no stock, I sang "Iam a regular customer" song and with little persuasion got normal petrol. Most bunks in Chennai will be closed by 7pm saying no stock just to sell at higher price tomorrow.

Last time when prices went up, I was refused fuel saying no stock even when a tanker was unloading. I called the IOC sales manager responsible for that area and he cut the line saying he is busy.

With all the political drama and action on fuel hike, the LPG price increase has gone unnoticed. I am not touching LPG unless it falls below Rs 30/litre although I am not getting any return on investment for the conversion.

I have fitted CNG kit and it works out to me very cheap....... with price increasing like this for Petrol Diesel and LPG - CNG makes sense.

Have it fitted since 8 years in my esteem and no problems.

Government should promote CNG in very city..............

since '00 it has increase by Rs. 2-3 only..............

...
No such problems in Bangalore. I tanked up today at 11PM at IOC COCO in BTM Layout at old price (50.58). Surprisingly, bunk was empty. One hour more, I had to pay Rs 2 /- more per litre.

Filled up the tank last nite @ around 11pm. Paid the old price of INR 47.44 per liter of unleaded regular petrol.

Surprisingly most bunks on the way were empty. Did see a couple of bunks that had closed "as they had run out of stock". Wonder how true this was.

I don't agree with the Left on many things but I completely subscribe to their view on fuel prices. Why doesn't the govt. cut customs/excise duties on fuel? The govt.'s unwillingness to compromise on its revenue stream at the cost of consumers and the oil companies is puzzling. And it doesn't end at an increase in petrol/diesel prices. It has a ripple effect across the economy. Commodity and food prices go up, inflation goes up, forcing the RBI to keep interest rates high and making credit expensive. Consumers get squeezed in multiple ways. Most bizarre.

Yeah, apprntly the prices are highest in the country here.
Petrol is 51.05 old-48.79 per litre
Diesel is 34.94 old-33.80 per litre
Add another 1-1.25 for speed & extra mile.

Prices of petrol in delhi sound sweet.
