Could be soon be launched.

The vehicle could be either an imported one or a test vehicle. It looks good from rear. I am sure it will be launched soon in India.

I hope they are able to bring them in to market. This car in estate format looks much better than Sedan IMO.

But if spotted since a long time and still not launched, then I think that they are testing some engines and mechanical components for hot wheather testing.

Looks more like a test car. Estate looks much better than the sedan and it would be great if it is launched in India.

It is actually A "station wagon". Estate is a model which Tata brought out in 90s which was a station wagon and that has become a generic name.

DieselFan, the term "estate" has been around much longer than Tata Estate. Even the Morris used to be have something called Estate, IIRC.

TATA is certainly not the inventor of the name Estate.

"A station wagon (or simply wagon) in American, Australian, Canadian and New Zealand usage and an estate car, or just Estate in British usage" - source Station wagon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
