re: India's largest selling SUV: Mahindra Bolero (New-look Pics Added on Page 36)

The patch work on the front bumper seems to have been removed. That is the only nice thing, I see in this refresh.

Regarding the Bolero in the pics, it sure is an improvement on the present Vehicle. Anything more & MM will have to build a vehicle from scratch.

Ideally by now MM should have brought in a completely new Bolero but since they are getting the sales & interest amongst consumers, they seem to be least bothered.

Present Bolero only gives a very limited scope for improvements. A Rural Transport vehicle(RTV) well on its way...

atleast the front bumper looks better than the current one!

i still dont get it, as to why the front axle and the rear axle dont have the same length, why there is a big difference?

re: India's largest selling SUV: Mahindra Bolero (New-look Pics Added on Page 36)

AAAAAARRRRGHHH....!!

They had all the time and money to CHEW UP and SCREW UP the IDIOTIC grill.....but they didn't have the engineering skills to relocate the STUPIDLY placed rear number plate to below the rear door handle!

Dashboard looks straight from a cheap Chinese toy.
Only the front bumper looks good.

Can we use some Tarot cards...or something to figure out how long these DESIGNERS will hang in there?

re: India's largest selling SUV: Mahindra Bolero (New-look Pics Added on Page 36)

Somehow, i feel these changes are welcome to the Bolero. The new bumpers look a lot better than the mish-mash job on the existing version. The new steering, which although is a direct lift from the common parts bin, is also welcome. The old one felt a tad too small for a vehicle of this size.

As for the grille and digital speedo, i do not have any for/against opinions on them. I hope they have improved the brakes, though.

Someone in M&M sure seems to be a pretty big Knight Rider fan!! The grille isnt too bad though. Bumper looks decent too. Apart from that, I like the steering wheel. Atleast the HUGE one that was present earlier is now gone!! thank god!

I would agree with the steering part, the previous one was too huge and thin.
and Knight rider-lol.have they put in that ejecto seat as well,i would love to have their designer as a co passenger then press the button, and
on a serious note,i can see low fuel indicator, and a engine check light, which means its a Common rail

The bumper is a definite improvement; interiors are pure crass!!

But I have a feeling this version is gonna set new records in Sales!! And I don't believe Mahindra will or can come up with a brand new Bolero..

re: India's largest selling SUV: Mahindra Bolero (New-look Pics Added on Page 36)

Bumpers look OK, The front grille is Harakiri, from the Walrus tooth to the new stub tooth, giving the Bolero an Ugly stance.

Exterior and the chassis there seems to be not much visible changes, and what i learnt is shocking, that unnecessary air intake plastic scoop at the rear is more of cosmetic than to serve the actual purpose.

Well, somehow i liked the instrument cluster on the dash, looks old school, but cool

And for gods sake lets not call the Bolero an SUV.

Any idea when this will be launched? Seems like a good upgrade from the previous Bolero which I believe was aimed more at the rural market. This one seems to be more like targetted towards urban audience looking for an entry-level SUV but find the Scorpio a bit over their budget. I'm game for it when it is launched!

Does that mean the steering gear ratio is also changed?.....or else it would be a disaster with the kind of steering feedback Bolero has.

re: India's largest selling SUV: Mahindra Bolero (New-look Pics Added on Page 36)

I think it might look bearable in black. I have two wishes:

- they improve the brakes significantly
- they don't raise the price saying this is ZLX version and upgraded etc. The current VLX is already overpriced IMHO.

Re: bolero-facelift 2011-spy-pics

Whats with Mahindra and design these days?

I still like the old shape.

Its getting worse with every facelift, and somehow I find the digital speedo console funny on a Bolero.

Pics Courtesy: tbhp member, Jeeva. I hope you dont mind.
