I can barely wait to see what Spitfire has to say about this video.

Good video.

btw, if you follow the link into youtube, you also get into similar videos for Tata Safari as well.

LOL, already posted that on the Safari thread . That song says Safari is better than Sumo, Spacio or Bolero. No mention of Scorpio though

MudMover; It looks you are stuck with something you can no longer live with! I never read about headers dumping his storm .
Yes the Price difference is 100K +\- 5K
Well you can anyday paint the grill,or get a custom one like your bolero.
well you can smoke the Xmas tree
Keep us updated with your decision.

Hey Jose,

I remember a year back I was planning on buying the DI Bolero and I was drooling all over your machine...and then I took a TD of the Scorp...and the next thing you know, I am here - 23000 happy kilometres later in a year...

in the mHawk Scorpio

its simple,he uses the hawk for Groceries, and trust me its really bad vehicle for such purpose
So we have another potential Bolero Buyer, who got sold on the Scorpio.
I forgot to mention.
We were all sold on the new Bolero, either VLX or DI Turbo.
The decision for the scorpio was taken in hardly 2-3 minutes over the dinner table, and we booked the Scorpio next day, without even Td'ing it once.

This is my point of view.
Boleros I feel, is upgraded jeep. A jeeper who need a bit comfort of a SUV, bolero is the choice. Designer had no clear mind while designing dash board, driving position, steering wheel. I think all done by, after thought. But it is still working for Mahindra. It may be for its tough look or price or cheap spares cost.( most of the armada spares shout bolero).
As always, indian car market unpredictable

I beg to differ on the dash!

I love the simple dash board of the Bolero, I have hated the look of the scorp dash and I guess will continue to do so. The shape of that central A/c vent is real crass!

Bolero will keep working the numbers for Bolero if the cost is kept under 6.5 Lakhs on road. When i was looking around for a new car 3 years back; i basically had an easy time deciding on the DI turbo SLE. There hardly was any competition in that price bracket. But if the DI turbo is discontinued in cities and only STORMs are sold; the Scorp LX will start to cannibalize Bolero sales and it will be bye-bye numbers for the Bolero.

I think you have got the formula right : Tough Looks + Price + Cheap spares ( + character )!

Only 23k in 1 Year

Shame! You and me, we were planning to outrun the warranty, Heck with my Storm in the workshop for 2 months, still I did 24k in Year ( Completed on 4th May) and the odod stands at 26.5k as on today. You need to buckle up man!

@josepeter: The DI Bolero also comes in BS-III so its not discontinued. As a matter of fact, the entire Bolero range (including CRDe) has not been upgraded to BS-IV yet
