Maruti Suzuki to launch new Van based on Versa

That vehicle looks awesome ! Please put the multijet into that maruti...there's no way you can launch it pertol only !!

This MUV is really looking awesome !!
Hats off to Suzuki (Japan) designers.
I think Maruti will launch it only in Multijet Diesel engine.

Landy looks good. It will do well, if launched with diesel engine and if priced correctly . But can we expect this vehicle to be launched here????

Scoop boy Sid, how come you have no news on this one, It is scheduled to be launched this month. We all know with your connections and that inquistive brain you can dig something on this. Is it going to be Landis or the APV or a plain Jane omni.

Any news about what does it look like, is it the same Versa (with some face lift) or is it a whole new Versa/O2

In my experience with this model known as APV in SEA market.

This vehicle will be more suitable for Company owned / hired vehicle for staff & Officer transit.

To some extent it can penetrate in to travel and tourism industry but typical van feeling can not let it survive as individual owners vehicle.

The landy is a very nice vehicle and wont be launched as the versa's replacement.Infact it will launched in the segment competing with innova.The versa will be replaced by the end of this year or the in first quarter of 2010.Although Landy is expected in 2011.

now there is this somebody who makes a truck to cater to the tata ace segment and whats interesting to note is the front end. it looks very similar to the versa!!
