It is always Shell Premium / HP Power for me, in that order. I find both to be very good. If I find an appropriate bunk, I sometimes use Speed 91 too.

UPDATE :
Yesterday did a full tank in Bangalore at Shell normal gas costed Rs 50.95 instead of Rs 50.66 charged by other public sector bunks.

Last month I remember it was Rs 50.65 hence there is an increase of 30paise/ litre of normal unleaded petrol @ Shell

I have been sticking to Shell normal unleaded petrol over the past few months. As I am assured of the quality and quantity of the fuel from Shell. I switched over after a bad experience at a HP pump.

I always will prefer Shell over anything else. Quality is great. Keeps the car happy. Next would be Reliance, but that is shut down as of now.

Rs37.40 per litre in Bangalore. I think it was little less (Rs37.10) in Mangalore.

Is this the cost for "premium" diesel or "normal" diesel ? I'd assume that like petrol, shell has both the variants in diesel ?

I prefer IOC & try to fill most of the times in an IOC pump. However if its not available my preference is BP, HP in this order.

Shell sells only one variant of diesel in Bangalore. Is this 'regular' or 'premium'?
Punto manual insists on using only regular diesel, can I use Shell diesel for Punto?

HI

HP always!!

I think the petrol quality is ever consistent and the fuel burns cleaner.

Shell India does not seem to have a Premium Diesel at all. And I wonder why Shell fuel cost vs Others is quite close in Bangalore, but about 5 bucks higher in Chennai :(

Re: Poll: Which brand of fuel (petrol or diesel)?

Reviving an old thread. I voted for Bharat Petroleum as I generally patronize with it with my Petrocard. However, I also get my Linea's tank filled from HP COCO retail outlet near my home. Of late, I find Reliance pumps are also good especially when paying with credit/debit cards. First they swipe the card, then dispense the fuel and the system automatically generates the charge slip and bill - No manual entering of the amount, and hence, no scope for mistake or mischief by the attendent.

HP for petrol. Recently bought a diesel Manza and found the BP diesel better (less throaty).
