i really dont think the fabia will be successful with that kind of pricing.it will probably go the fusion way.7lacs can get you pretty good midsized sedans like the fiesta,nhc,verna,sx4.
this kind of pricing ill make the getz crdi sound like a sweet deal and you get a 110bhp motor instead of the 69 on the fabia.
Top end diesel costing 8.5 L on road as per my friend who's dad already has had a test drive last weekend. He seems to be of the opinion that the car is full of features.
i dont think we should be commenting on the engine without experiencing it. it might just turn out good.
Skoda is trying to open a whole new segment and I have a feeling they might suceed and who knows it opens up the door for Fiat Bravo & Mini Cooper

Exactly. Skoda Auto is taking money for what? There is no official release saying the car is launched or to be launched, prices not declared, and even the variants. The 5.50lac price tag as been mentioned is okay, but exceeding it to 7lacs is a bit more.
The Grande Punto, multi jet is expected to be in the range of of 5.50lacs. Looks like the pricing is the real game:).
I have heard about the car being strictly ok to drive and loaded with features from a very reliable source.
Lets see

Exactly what i heard. But the person in concern dropped his idea to buy after hearing the price. 8.5 onroad for the top end diesel. Verna and Fiesta costs the same.

Hey guys..
This is true. And comes from our friend who was planning to get Fabia after selling his Swift.
Top-end diesel is 8.5L on-road! :Shockked:
Seems loaded with features, but price seems too high for what it offers.

this is ridiculous pricing. This price puts the fabia out of a lot of buyers who wouldnt have minded paying a little premium. But with this price, they are pushing their luck.

Busa 90bhp with tuning box.It can remap to 100bhp and petes have that.
Top end wont be 8.5lacs,less than that around 7.5lacs OTR.
Who needs a 1.4 litre 69bhp diesel. We have better options. Problem is that we havn't yet started ridiculing Skoda like they do in Europe.

Whats that nopes for ? I never said it was built cheaply or anything - I just said it is ok to drive. Its built like the Octy and feels like the Octy too. :)
Ridiculing Skoda ? On the highways of Kerala (and even TN), all you see are Skodas. We are actually worshipping it, atleast in the south.
