Dear all - if any one of you wants the original Koito Japanese sealed beam headlights, tell me. I just saw one perfectly working set available with my chor bazaar contact. How much should this cost? Any information will be useful.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

koitto was never OE on ss80 but were replacements.
I have one NOS bought for Rs.450/-
if it is used you can pay Rs.500/- for the pair and Rs.900/- if NOS
If stanley sealed beam in BOX you can pay upto Rs.1000/- per piece(if such a thing is available NOS??)

Pricing mentioned by Ajay seems to be correct across the country. I picked up a original Stanley Sealed Beam for my ss80 for Rs.250 from the Gujari (Chor Bazaar equivalent) at Bangalore.

Fantastic car you have bought sureshkishore. First time I am seeing leather seats and other interiors in an ss80 DX. So, are these the original standard leather seats from Maruti or added as accessory?

Think these pics are better than the ones i had posted earlier.
Almost entire car retains the original NewZealand brown paint.
Need One Stanley Sealed beam to complete the restoration to its original condition.

Thanks buddy. these are standard OE seats. The previous owner had put a fabric cover on top of it. Thanks to that the leather is still pretty much intact

of course , you will be having more of that when you hear about the price he paid for that .just 1/3rd of what many "'greedy'' sellers ask for such an SS80 these days.

The previous owner definitely isnt a tbhp ian. He is a septuagenarian NRI based in Central Kerala. He could use the car only when he came during vacation. This explains the cars unbelievable mileage of just 27000 Kms.

SureshKishore, what a car! Thrilled to see a SS80 in this condition. Atlast glimpses of the leather seat covers and the clarion stereo. Seeing these pictures now I could believe that the car has done only 27K Kms. Also I think your car needs a set of new radial tyres (rear right tyre seems to be damaged) which will make a world of difference to the ride and handling. Congrats once again and take good care of her!
