I chanced upon the same while casually browsing BBT. That is very tempting ex showroom price for a 0km run X Trail. But this one seems to have larger infotainment screen and brown leather(-ette?) upholstery?

Seriously looking good with those 20 inchers and this should have been the price point for it competing with Tucson, Meridian and nicely undercutting Kodiaq, Fortuner.

This explains why the car is not sold through Nissan dealers as this is not a India spec-car. It also had ADAS.

There was an another beige 2023 car with black interior with the same feature set before the official launch. So, these cars likely were showcase cars before official launch.

Now, the price is rather tempting, but this is likely an early 2024 car and not being a India spec car parts maybe is an issue, mainly for features absent in India spec car, which are plenty.

Also, how will road tax be calculated? As this is not a India spec car with around 50lakhs ex-showroom. Likely will be more as it will include (total value of car when imported + freight cost(Single unit and not in batches, hence cost will be more)) * tax(GST,CESS and duty) which may be lot more than 50 lakhs.

At this price there will be a catch(or many).

There is a high-chance that this is some parallel import from Japan or other RHD market as this spec wasn't sold officially in India by the OEM.

Still kinda confusing on how they could price it this low considering the 100% import tax !

The listed car has 0 kms on it's odometer and is unregistered.

Same site lists Audi Q3 Premium Plus (unregistered, 50 kms) for 37 lakhs! That is real deal if there is nothing fishy.

29.5 lacs priced is listed on website, after walk-in the showroom / showing serious interest, we all know there is scope of further negotiations.

The Black one has a different interior theme from the one Nissan India launched in India. It has leather interiors and a bigger infotainment screen than the white one, which should be the one that Nissan showcased.

These things apart, the engine seems to be unreliable, from what I remember reading on the web. Even if the engine proves to be reliable, finding parts would be a difficult affair when compared to the CKD/CBU units of Germans or Koreans.

There is already news published by Cartoq that there is a massive 21 Lakh discount available on the X-Trail. The ex-showroom price is about 50 Lakhs. So a 21 Lakhs discount is offered by tge showroom will get it down to 29 Lakhs. I think the road tax and Insurance will be billed separately.

But it is not worth it as it doesn't have features that a 30 lakh cars should offer, including Small touch screen, ADAS and Ventilated seats among others.

Aftermarket fitment done by BBT to make the interior feel slightly better comparted to all black original theme.

Either price your product to sell, or the market will gladly do it for you.

I remember BBT had - at one time - bought almost all the unsold stock of Volvos in India and offered it for sale. This is either Nissan or their dealers who were stuck with X-Trails, and liquidated their dead inventory.

Listed ex-showroom price for the X-Trail in Mumbai is 48-lakhs. OTR (on paper) will be 55-60 lakhs. Even Nissan's own CEO won't buy it at that price.

That being said, at 29.50 lakhs (and some further negotiation), it is one heck of an SUV! Not my kind of a car, but surely worth considering for those more open to its strengths & weaknesses.

It is a 2024 model. If it was a 2025 model at the price, the deal would have been great. But it's a year old stock that is now outdated too. Typical first year 15% depreciation added, it means it's been sold at 35 lakhs ex-showroom. Does it make it spicy?

Given the poorly reported reliability of this engine even globally, I feel like the X-Trail only makes sense as a rental/lease option since it feels like the kind of car that offers a lot of wow factor but might need scrapping after 3-5 years.

I wonder how one would be able to finance this car.

BBT is a pre-owned car dealer, and a bank would disburse a new car loan amount to only an authorised dealer. Would that mean buyers would have to take a 'used car loan', which generally has a higher ROI?
