Kia rolls out 1.5 millionth vehicle from its India plant

Kia India has achieved a new production milestone with the rollout of the 1.5 millionth vehicle from its manufacturing facility in Anantapur. The milestone car was a Kia Carens.

Kia’s Anantapur plant has so far manufactured over 7,00,668 units of the Seltos, which make up 46.8% of the total number of cars built at this facility. Other models manufactured at this plant include the Sonet (5,19,064 units), Carens (2,41,582 units), Syros (23,036 units), and the Carnival (16,172).

Spread over 536 acres, Kia’s Anantapur unit also serves as an export hub. Cars manufactured at this facility are shipped to over 90 countries worldwide.
