Great news - Finally, Maruti has woken up to tap the niche AWD AT segment by offering an AT option with it's fairly capable AWD system. A lot of buyers have moved on from MT now and the AT AWD will bring in a few of them back. If only they offer AWD AT in lower trims as well. It's time OEMs make adventure touring affordable.
Even at this price, it undercuts the Mahindra XUV 700 AX7 AWD AT by around 4 lacs. Both have their pros and cons - With the Vitara AWD AT, you get Petrol power train and peace of mind / Reliability that comes with a Maruti.

It is not Maruti but Toyota's decision as this car is made by Toyota in Bidadi

Even if the car is made in the Toyota factory, speccing will be MSIL's decision. The engine, transmission and AWD is all Suzuki technology in this variant.

Very True. Toyota's net contribution in a contract manufacturing scenario like the Vitara-Hyryder is the Hybrid Powertrain and the Manufacturing plant. You will get only what Suzuki can make.

The new Delta+ variant brings down entry price of Grand Vitara strong hybrid by around 1.5L. Turns out to be around 21L in Hyd where previously strong hybrid would start at 22.5L. With 6 airbags standard and equipped with what most people need, this I think is a value for money strong hybrid now.

The change I'm most excited about is the fact that now we can get the top end Alpha variant without that ridiculous sunroof!
Sunroof as standard moved to (o) variants as per the brochure.

Slightly disappointed that the hybrid still continues with the traditional parking brake, while the Autos move to the electronic one. The non hybrid top variants get the digital driver cluster from the hybrid. Would be interesting to see how Maruti has configured it.

Maruti has done a lot of changes in the iteration, not sure if I was able to capture all of them. But now Zeta/Zeta (O) should be the most value for money. Highlighting some of the incremental features and price comparison for Manual 2024 variants vs 2025.

The older alloy design looked better IMO, now it's neither classy like the previous design nor something radical yet good-looking like Hyryder.
Also, if this refresh version doesn't get discounts then the actual difference may be a lot as there have always been good offers on these models, I got a good cash discount and exchange bonus 2 weeks ago.

What happened to the Grand Vitara’s CNG variants? There’s no mention of them in the updated brochure or on Maruti Suzuki’s official website. It seems unlikely that they would discontinue them.

So this will only be the lazy update for the Grand Vitara with no facelift. I was checking the brochure/prices, the Delta AT is 13 something on road and has cruise control, center arm rest etc. It comes close to the Dzire which for the top end is around 12 something. Lots of cannibalization is possible now that 6 air bags are standard. Also the Brezza top end is at the Zeta's price so the Brezza guy will also be swayed by the Vitara since buying a bigger car is more of a thing now.

Just noticed it was not the on-road price so I guess there will be a large difference between the Dzire and the Vitara. Had me going for a moment.

Can we have ZETA AT and MT AWD please? I'm sure there'll be many takers for it, if Maruti quietly adds this variant some time in future.
