I already bought one few days back and then, I see this news and it's also cheaper! Damn, they are few days late.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar now gets a wireless adapter for Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

The price is really a good one. I bought for my Nissan Kicks two years back for INR 8000. Can anyone confirm whether the one Hyundai is selling will work for all type of infotainmens?

Re: Hyundai Alcazar now gets a wireless adapter for Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

I have burned through two CarlinkIts. Both lasted a little over one year and were from the US. Both had connectivity issues. The first one is bricked after a connectivity issue, and the second one doesn't work when connected to the car. My brother got Motorola AA, which lasted a little longer.

If I had known this a few days before, I would have got the Hyundai one. I just bought the most Chinese one I could see on Amazon -MSXTTLY, yes no vowels.
I went for this since constantly charging my phone due to wired connection for short 30-minute daily drives was killing the phone battery.

Let me know if anyone is able to buy it separately for their older version large displays. I have the new Tucson.

Has anybody tried this product from Portronics?

My cousin had bought this for his Sonet GTX+ DCT, but the connection is unstable and keeps dropping. He bought it for Rs.1999 during a flash sale on Amazon in February and is quite unsatisfied with it. However, as far as reviews go, they are quite mixed, with some feeling the product to be worth it, providing seamless connectivity while many like my cousin are having issues.

In my opinion, if you have a Hyundai-Kia car with the 10.25-inch infotainment screen, better to wait and buy the official one from them.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar now gets a wireless adapter for Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

All Portronics products have very mixed reviews, which I personally infer as questionable R&D and QC. Their only USP in the market is lowest price but lowest doesn’t necessarily mean ‘value’. Spending a 1000 more and getting a tried and tested OEM or aftermarket product is better than wasting 2000 or 3000 on a questionable product.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar now gets a wireless adapter for Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

A bit late, but nonetheless here. I was okay with wired AA setup on my Alcazar Facelift, as I was used to in my Ertiga but then why not try wireless? Hence I bought Carlizem Dongle which has most reviews and was also recommended by other users. It is surely convenient but on long drives, the phone battery continues to drain as it's no longer cable charged (Wireless charging is a joke in Alcazar). So now I have buyers remorse, and silently switched over to wired connection. But YMMV.

My family has the new Tucson and also uses the Carlinkit 5.0 adapter. It has been over a year, but it's still working flawlessly as always. Not sure what went wrong with your unit. I ordered directly from the website rather than Amazon.

Bought the MSXTTLY for my Creta EV and didn't use it much now. But it does work. Wish they had announced the adapter few days earlier.

I haven't found it on sale separately yet. Reached out to dealer as well. Even they have no clue about adaptor. All they told its not available on mobis website.

Anyone got update from dealership regarding adaptor?

I asked the Arsh Hyundai Dealer from Prabhadevi. He said this adapter does not work with Creta. It’s only for Alcazar.

My SA from Trident Hyundai said the same. I wonder why? It gets plugged into the same USB A port and has the same screen. Although there has to be something otherwise why would Hyundai not promote this for all models considering they can sell more of this.

i have something called a Smartbox and it has conked in just 6 months. Wierdly the system and music becomes laggy for 10-15 seconds, gets back to normal and gets laggy every 30 seconds. Very irritating. Can someone suggest a well used alternative?

I like the wireless set up because then I can choose to charge or not charge my phone and when I have to charge I can use the fast charging port.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar now gets a wireless adapter for Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

According to the showroom I bought my Verna from "The part is still under processing with Hyundai."

Really irritating that wireless android auto didn't work out of the box on the top variants (especially when it works on the lower variants) and they are so slow, disorganized and opaque about this adapter.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar now gets a wireless adapter for Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

Update: The accessories advisor said they have not yet received the circular from Hyundai about part availability, but expects it in 1-2 weeks. His impression is that this will work on all models (with the relevant infotainment system), not just Alcazar.
