Skoda reaches an all time highly monthly sale of 7,422 on back of very successful Kylaq.

They have recently started exporting Kushaq and Slavia to Vietnam

"With the launch of the all-new Kylaq, we committed to a 'New Era' in our India journey. The 7,422 cars we sold in March 2025 is testament to this journey taking shape," said Petr Janeba, Brand Director at Skoda Auto India. The company has extended the introductory pricing for the Kylaq until the end of April to capitalize on the model's initial success.

The Kylaq, which was unveiled in November 2024 with deliveries beginning in January 2025, has accumulated over 15,000 bookings. To meet this demand, Skoda is implementing what it describes as its "fastest ramp-up in production," aiming to fulfill all current bookings by the end of May.

Safety remains a key selling point for Skoda's Indian lineup, with all three models built on its MQB-A0-IN platform—Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq—earning five-star safety ratings for both adult and child occupants. While the Kushaq and Slavia were evaluated by Global NCAP, the Kylaq underwent testing under the domestic Bharat NCAP program.

Skoda has significantly expanded its presence in India since 2021, more than doubling its network from 120 touchpoints to over 280, with plans to reach 350 by the end of 2025. The company has also introduced digital initiatives such as fully digitalized showrooms and online sales options, along with customer-focused service programs including the Anytime Warranty and Skoda Supercare maintenance package.

Great to see the Kylaq doing decent numbers for Škoda. Škoda has put in a good effort to understand the market and price it competitively while improving on the Kushaq formula. Hope it sustains the momentum and provides competition to the others in the hotly contested sub-4-metre SUV space.

Good to see Skoda India doing really well in this competitive market. But a lot to achieve still. We expect that whenever They launch a Kushaq facelift, SKODA should seriously think of increasing the car dimensions a little bit because the price of 23lacs INR for top version needs to be justified at least by the size. Also, I read somewhere that VW has taken a decision that all its next gen cars will revert back to conventional BUTTON system against the existing touch for AC and Audio etc. Skoda should apply that as well. it makes the car look classier.

It's certainly good news for Skoda as a brand, but if most of those numbers are coming from the Kylaq alone, then I might take this news with a pinch of salt.

The Kylaq is a new product that has definitely created a buzz in the market, but the next few months will be crucial as they will determine whether that buzz is retained or fizzles out. If Kylaq is able to maintain it's demand, then Skoda should use this opportunity to either launch a new version of an existing product or a new product altogether to keep customer interest.

Good to see SKODA reporting 7K plus sales in March 2025. As a potential Kylaq customer, it is very heartening to see the brand and OEM performing well. We need European OEMs to survive in this cut throat market which is dominated by the Indians/Korens/Japanese OEMs. Hoping that they bring facelifted versions of Kushaq/Slavia, and bring plug-in-hybrids/strong hybrids as an option to them to counter Grand Vitara/Hyryder twins and Creta/Seltos twins.
