Isn't that the case with any new generation vehicle. Tiguan is being sold world over and parts availability should not be problem. Yes, the car will certainly sit in the Service Center till the part reaches our shores, but that is not different from the current scenario.

Aren't they in 2 different segements, Tayron replaces the Tiguan AllSpace and and is meant to be a 7-seater.

Source for no DCC ? I have seen news reports say that VW is yet to confirm if DCC will be there.

200 bhp from a R Line? Are you serious? Then its better to go for the old model at 15 lakh cheaper price if stock exists!!!

Kodiaq is getting assembled here in its new avatar, while Tiguan in its new avatar is being imported as CBU without any major USP and potentially going to be priced more than Kodiaq. I am curious about their strategy on this arrangement and how they think a 5 seater car with same engine, electronics and mechanicals will sell at a higher price than 7 seater from same group. Or is there a possibility that the new Kodiaq will be priced higher and Tiguan R line is being brought in as CBU to make the Kodiaq look VFM?
I think VW is using CBU Tiguan just to fill the market until the Tayron is launched sometime next year with the same engine and pretty much the same tech. They might also launch the CKD Tayron for the same price range of the Tiguan which would certainly make the Tayron looks like a VFM proposition. This would also mean that servicing the CBU Tiguan wouldn't be a headache for VW as most parts would be readily available at the service centres.

If the standard Tiguan of new generation is not launched, then buyers of this Tiguan R Line model will join the likes of those who bought T-Roc and Karoq. That is why I have decided to wait untill later this year, when VW's plans regarding standard Tiguan or Tayron are made official, and we have clarity on the new Kodiaq, its pricing, and any chance of a 5 seater version.

Tayron is also supposed to be 7 seater like Kodiaq. It will be surprising if VW/Skoda ditch 5 seaters altogether and only offer 7 seaters in this segment.
