Re: Citroen Basalt Dark Edition teased ahead of launch

The one thing good about this situation is that with the current number of factory dispatches being made, at least the quality control would be a bit better because you cant afford a high rejection ratio on components with such a low denominator.

Reciting from my memory bank of 30 odd years ago.
It is not possible as per Trade Mark law to actually Trade Mark commonly used words such as ‘Dark’.
I was once tasked with Trade Marking a brand name which had the word ‘Color’ in it. And the lawyers mentioned at the time that the word ‘Color/ Colour’ cannot be Trade Marked, unless it was contiguously conjoined with another word, with the whole unit forming the ‘Mark’….

I liked what they made Dhoni say. "We are new in India. We need all the support we can get. Come on board, try us out."

As a car lover, I love all cars. No car is perfect. And I don't want any more brands to leave. Citroen is improving, bit by bit. Hoping them all the best.

Best wishes Citroen. This market can really punish poor starters.

Mechanically the products are great. Feature wise they're coming up the curve.

ASC- am not too sure.

Re: Citroen Basalt Dark Edition teased ahead of launch

I had really liked its Coupe design, much more than the Tata Curvv in fact. It looked more simple and elegant than Curvv but then I saw Mahindra BE 6E (name is changed already thanks to Indigo) and now I cant unsee that futuristic design language. That left both Curvv and this one miles behind.

There is a sole youngster there (SA). And he is frustrated that the car is not moving and even snaps at customers I heard, (not his fault though). I'm checking out the car at their Mysuru dealership, tomorrow

Head of marketing, Stellantis India is an actual job title? Wow. What do they pay for doing absolutely no marketing for the products? Must be nice to get paid for zero work load.

No wonder the cars are not moving.

I don't think that Basalt is available in any shade of Black in it's current line up!
This is a completely custom paint job, along with other modifications. There are videos of him explaining about it on YouTube.

Re: Citroen Basalt Dark Edition teased ahead of launch

I really like the Basalt. It covers most important points in a Car brilliantly. I shall wait for a genration change or a major update before putting my hard earned money on Basalt.

Add the below and I am sold.

A much better Instrument cluster. Current one feels like Kwidish.
Cruise Control
A better infotainment system
Tie up with JBL or HK for a better sound system
A Push Start Button

I would prefer having the MG Comet kind of Instrument cluster. Sleek, minimalistic and of brilliant quality.

Basalt already has a comprehensive digital instrument cluster . The Kwid one is in earlier models like mine or the base variants

Rest all are wishlist items, except for the audio upgrade which can be done outside ( I did) and they do a much better job.

Mod Note: Our Citroen Dark Edition Report has been taken live at this link. Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Thanks!
