In the video below as well, all the Tiguans appear to be MH14 registered.

Judging from the video, there is a good presence about the new Tiguan and the wheels do stand out - whereas the alloys on the older ones were too meh.

MH-14 registered means they are registered to the Skoda-VW Chakan plant. These could be media cars or ones that would be used for marketing.

Saw 6 of these yesterday morning at Bandra heading northbound. All were MH14 registered. I guess the media drive is today.

Thankfully my 2019 TDI looks much better to me now! Timeless!

Also much better VFM compared to the new ones, I hope getting parts for the older models will be little easier if the Tiguan continues to be sold.

This car doesn't look 60 lakhs from any POV, that is an issue. Volkswagen needs to take this as a PR strategy price it at 40 lakhs to make sure that future Tiguan's, Tayrons and even Taigun can see positive side effect

Per car loss will be around 5-10 lakhs but the overall marketing impact can be bigger

Tiguan R-line comes with the 19" "Coventry" wheels. I have been reading about folks having problems with the 18" wheels (link (Volkswagen Tiguan : Official Review)). In fact, in one of the team-bhp reviews (link (Mercedes GLA-Class : Official Review)), we have the following advisory although it may be a little dated now.

• Official accessories include an iPad docking station for rear seat occupants, bicycle rack, illuminated star on the front grill and optional 19" alloy wheels. We don't recommend the 19" rims for India. In fact, Mercedes probably pushed it too far with the 18s. 17" wheels would've brought a better ride, 16s more so (due to taller tyre sidewalls).

We also have had problems with the tyre size being not available. The tyre profile (255/45 R19 tyres) is more expensive and choices are less. One can always downgrade from 19" -> 18" and we seem to have more choices but then alloys will also have to change. Something a prospective buyer should consider. Is this a deal-breaker ?
