Re: The 2025 Thread: Which upcoming cars are you most excited about?

Clearly the Golf GTI & the Octavia RS & maybe the Sealion.

Much needed options and after quite a few years.

Re: The 2025 Thread: Which upcoming cars are you most excited about?

I am looking forward to 2 cars, Harrier EV & Octavia Diesel. Both are excellent cars & will be a balanced option for many buyers in their respective segments.

Creta, e-Vitara are too bland & Currv, BE6 too outlandish for my taste hence Harrier will the balanced one while D2 sedan segment is dead so good to see Octavia coming in to fill the void)

[quote=volkchan1;5937547]I am eagerly waiting for the the third-generation Volkswagen Tiguan 2025 R-line.

I am really looking forward to the 2025 R-line. Right now, I drive a 2019 Kia Seltos GTX+. Whenever I think about upgrading, I cannot find a good option except for the Jeep Compass, X3 or the GLC, but I don't think they're worth the money (personal preference). I have been excited about the new Taigun since it was announced. Even though it will be priced higher because it will be CBU in India, I still think it might offer better value compared to the expensive German brands.

Hi I was not aware that the e-Vitara started hitting dealerships. Can you let me know where you saw it?

I am excited for the upcoming VW Terra. A very logical upgrade for people like me holding on to their ageing Polos.

The Fronx facelift series hybrid and Tata Sierra EV.

Fronx series hybrid would have been my purchase last year if it was available, because I think this one will be perfect as a city car and even for a one car garage. Though I am happy with the Dzire no regrets.

Tata Sierra for its drool worthiness and desirability.

Re: The 2025 Thread: Which upcoming cars are you most excited about?

In terms of cars which have already been announced for launch this year, I am most excited for the Golf GTI, although it's going to cost a bomb and probably would not be something that I can look to add to the garage as a replacement for my Nexon Petrol.

Amongst those which I am looking forward to and hoping for is probably the small car (Swift/Fronx) series hybrid from Suzuki. This is going to be a game changer if they are also able to get good safety in them, considering they have gotten the money off their backs wrt safety with the new Dzire.

One hope for the year- better value cars beyond the base variant (at an astonishing price) and the next variant being 2-3L on road more expensive. This has largely become a PR tactic even being used by Skoda for their Kylaq.

I don't understand why there are new offerings in Diesel if the government has decided to phase out the Diesel ICE altogether. This is like cheating by the automakers and the government in making buyers spend their fortune and then banning them one fine day.

I saw it at Nexa Adarasha, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The SA told me that they Maruti is rotating the vehicle across Nexa dealerships, keeping it for a couple of days at each outlet.

BE6 and XEV9E. The cars are already launched, but I am waiting to see how they perform in real life. These are the two cars who made me sit up and take EVs seriously.

BE6 infact may be in my garage by 2026. Till then I am in wait and watch mode. Hope they succeed to the fullest!

Octavia VRS and Golf GTI. If priced at 45 lakhs, I'm sure getting one of them into my garage!

I'm reasonably excited for the relaunch of the Octavia VRS, especially since the last VRS Octavia we got here in India was the 3rd generation.

Re: The 2025 Thread: Which upcoming cars are you most excited about?

I am the most excited for BYD Sealion 7, just can't wait anymore to experience it's torque rush! With BYD introducing their new battery tech called Lithium Iron Phosphate which is 6 times lighter than their current battery used. That's bonkers! Not sure if the Sealion 7 will get that tech currently though.

The second car which I am excited for is the Skoda Octavia 2.0TDI, didn't ever expect that we would get to experience the TDI again in India.
Very curious to see how Skoda will cope with Bharat Stage 6 or 7 norms .

The third gen Audi Q5 and the facelifted Volvo XC60 are two vehicles I am interested in though we may not see them hit Indian shores till 2026.
