I think you'll very much find the answer to vary considerably between manufacturer and model, heck even generation to generation of the same model when it comes to the 'localisation' of a CKD.

My Volkswagen Tiguan has impeccable build quality, fit, finish, sound deadening, paint etc. etc., everything being lovely to the touch, however early days I did wonder how much of it is 'fully imported' and at what point did the local suppliers step in.
Last year I ordered a rear wiper part replacement and was surprised to see this being imported from a factory in Romania.

Now, the very same Tiguan but in the older AllSpace generation model, even the AC vents were flimsy & cheapened out, going by fellow owners feedback, and the part turned out to be from a Mexican plant.
Similarly, I've heard from owners of the 'Big 3' germans who have owned one of each, claim Audi superiority when it comes to such things whereas they felt BMW and Mercedes fell behind and in that order.
