Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

For me, a dream garage is a usable one with the big bucks on cars that are daily drivers.

We are a small family, and hence a 2 car garage is more than enough. Also in Bangalore, sedans are very painful due to really bad road conditions.. with this in mind..

Primary car : Mercedes GLA diesel ~ 60 lakhs on road : Compact enough for daily use and premium enough. BMW X1 sold in India are really uninspiring. If BMW X1 gets launched with a 2.0 Ltr engine, that would be my pick.

Family car : Toyota Hycross Hybrid ~ 40 lakhs on road : Big enough for a family trip and reliable as its a toyota.

___

off topic, but I feel 50 Lakhs is a good enough budget ( Thar Diesel AT + VW Virtus )

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

I'm gonna go with my current garage.
- A fast sedan for the weekend
- Truck: Off roader plus farm duties
- Soft roader: for resort trips with family
- Beater

I don't it goes to 1Cr, but I'm gonna stick with this for sometime.

Yes, this!

I’d keep my F30 328i (20 lakh with mods) and spend the rest on a 997.1 / 997.2 that I will “resto-mod” to my specification through RPM Technik or a similar aftermarket Porsche specialist.

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

Easy:
1. Innova Hycross- Great package for a family car and a chauffer driven car.(35L)
2. 2025 Octavia VRS- Assuming it goes for 50L, great sporty car for me to own for a long duration.
3. Creta/seltos mid variant- great for city commutes with a single person driving.

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

Fantastic thread! Here's what I would get if I had the budget of a crore today:

1) TVS iQube S 3.4 kWH - 1.5 lakhs
For running errands in the city. Chose this over all other scooters because it has the most compliant suspension for our pothole ridden streets and also the quietest motor for a super smooth experience. Also, sufficient power to overtake most of the city traffic.

2) Triumph Tiger 900 GT - 14 lakhs
To realise my cross country motorcycling dreams. Most popular adventure tourer with more than enough performance for effortless fast riding on India's roads. Not going for the spoked wheel version because I have no plans to do any sort of off roading.

3) Nissan Magnite Turbo CVT Tekna - 11.4 lakhs
This one is a real dark horse. Probably the most value for money car in India right now. Has all the necessary features minus the showy stuff. The new Magnite nails nearly every single fundamental of what a good daily driver needs to be, and at a really good price.

4) BMW 320Ld - 62 lakhs
This one for the inter city drives and long road trips. Always been a dream to own something amongst the big 3 germans and this one nails the balance between performance and luxury. Love the effortless torque of diesels, hence chose this over the 330Li.

That still leaves me with 11 lakhs to spare which will get used up to pay for taxes, registration and stuff to get these on the road.

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

I have a small garage that is quite similar.

1. Tata Nexon Electric - Daily beater for errands and in city runabouts.
2. Toyota innova Hycross hybrid- Airport runs, trips with family, daily long commute.
3. BMW 5 series LWB - For self driving, night drives, parties and events, etc.

While this comes out to little more than 1cr, going 1 level below across categories will bring the numbers to less than 1Cr.

Tata nexon EV replaced by Tata Punch EV - 12L
Innova Hycross replaced by the Kia Seltos - 18L
BMW 5 Series LWB replaced by the 3 Series LWB - 70L.

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

Brilliant daydreaming exercise!

My choice will be a a brand spanking new M340i. This would be the car for the soul, weekend runs, boys trips and such. Or just for that late night run to clear my head. And for the highway runs. With the adaptive dampers, this would be the perfect runabout car for me and the fam. That's 90L done.

Attachment 2720318

Next would be a Punch EV, a safe city-runner with ample space and juice for a dash around the corner or a trek to Marine Drive or even Lonavala with the kids. That'd set me back by about 10L for the right variant, with all the offers.

Also Rans:

A combination of a Kodiaq / Innova Hycross + BMW 330li (lost by the barest of margins).
A combination of a Kodiaq / Hycross + BYD SEAL (top spec, with discounts) + MG ZS ev.

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

Its got to be the Ioniq 5 N.

Motors spin to 21000 rpm giving an output of 650 bhp and 770 Nm of torque.

A 0-100 time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h.

An ICE feel completes the package.

Even Lamborghini wants to benchmark their EV’s against it.

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

Quite thoughtful, I will be penning it down for 2 people

1.SP 160 (1.4L OTR in JHS): Daily city commutes for me
2.Xoom 110 (1L OTR in JHS): Daily city commutes for whosoever will be my better half
3.RE Interceptor Bear 650 (4L OTR in JHS): Occasional Touring for me
4.Aprilla RS457 (4.75L OTR in JHS): Occasional Touring for whosoever will be
my better half
5.Scorpio N Z8L 4x4 (26.8L OTR in JHS): Family road trips and offroad fun
6.Honda city ZX Petrol MT (17.8L OTR in JHS): City car and a tuning project since that 1.5 V-TEC is asking for some turbocharging

That leaves me with 55 Lakhs that i will spend upon The Interceptor Bear and city on tuning their engines and some other not-so-important cosmetic mods for Scorpio N. Also I may prioritise buying 2 ADVs for me and my unknown better half in future which may be Honda Transalp and CRF1100L Africa Twin

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

What I will buy in 1 cr budget.

1) The Jeep Grand Cherokee costing 80 lakhs plus. Only seen online reviews. But this car is a flagship in comfort. It's the largest selling model of Jeep in USA so I have great fascination for it. And will be unique on road.

2) With 20 lacs left, I could have gone for Jeep Compass but that would look similar to Grand Cherokee, albeit a smaller version. So my options are Creta and XUV 700. By looks , the 700 is more grand so I will go for that

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

I am more of a Motorcycle person than a Car one. But here's how my garage would look like.

1) Long distance riding - Ducati Multistrada Pikes peak : 37,00,000/-
2) City riding (and could load it onto the Hilux when travelling) - upcoming KTM 390 SMC R - 4,00,000/-
3) City use (love its compact size) - Jimny Automatic : 17,00,000/-
4) For long distance touring with the 39 SMC R - Toyota Hilux 4x4 Manual - 32,00,000/-

Remaining 10 lakhs for fuel and maintenance

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

I would love to add to my existing garage, which already includes a Kodiaq 2.0 TSI for family long drives, offering both comfort for the family and the thrill of driving for the enthusiast in me. I also have an XUV400 for economical office commutes and city drives, along with a Hyundai Grand i10 as a beater.

My next addition would be a brand-new Audi RS5 (PY registered) through the year-end offer or a sparsely used one for around 1 Crore. I believe I might be the only one who has chosen this so far. From the moment I drove my friend's S5 few years ago, I was in love with the car, and the RS5 is definitely a step up. While I know many argue that BMW offers better driving pleasure, I’ve always had a soft spot for Audis. The sweet sounding 3L Bi-Turbo V6 with stock exhaust and a neat looking interior

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

My ideal ₹1 Crore garage would be as follows:

Small City EV:

Tata Tiago EV
XZ Plus Tech LUX LR (top model)

Cost: ₹11.6 lakh on-road Mumbai (balance left: ₹88.4 lakh)

It was a tough choice between a Tata Tiago EV or the MG Comet. While the Comet has the ideal footprint for a city car, the lack of 4-doors makes is a major con.

Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025-tiagoevtatatiagoevrightfrontthreequarter0.jpeg

Luxury SUV:

Lexus NX
350h F-sport (top model)

Cost: ₹87.8 lakh on-road Mumbai (balance left: ₹60,000. Can be used for sound dampening of the Tiago )

An even more difficult choice that the above. I tried to avoid used cars here, because at that point I could get a bunch of 10+ year old luxury Germans for very cheap. But I would be ignoring the heavy maintenance costs which seems unfair. Had to note, new luxury cars have become incredibly expensive!

Other cars I considered were the BMW 3 series, but eliminated because I wanted one SUV capable of doing comfortable long-distance highway touring and tackling bad roads. I also considered the BMW X3 20d, but decided I would rather have the peace of mind that a reliable luxury Toyota provides, and I'm a fan of hybrid technology.

I also considered a combination of Innova Hycross or XUV700 for long-distance touring and a Camry Hybrid as a comfortable sedan, but at that point, both seemed like compromises. Better to have one luxury vehicle that can do most of what I want while keeping me pampered.

At the rate car prices are going, an ideal garage if including luxury vehicles might need a budget of ₹2-3 crore.

2. Creta EV- Rs.25L- This will be my daily driver to be used within the city and on highways sometimes, that too within 300 Kms. Might get this one soon as the replacement for another car at home.

3. Virtus/Slavia- Rs.23L- Will get any of these two in 1.5 DSG guise and use it for fun drives as I always crave myself to have a sedan. Without a sedan, my garage won't be complete.

4. Used Thar 4X4- Rs.12L- Will be getting one used in Petrol AT guise and will be used for off-roading.

In third one, apart from Virtus/Slavia, I'd add used BMW 3 Series only if I get one within the said budget and in fourth one, I'd add brand new Jimny AT over Thar only if I can get within Rs.15L.

This is how I want my garage to be though we already own Hycross at home and will be adding an EV or a sedan within the budget of Rs.25L soon this year.
Adding couple of garage choices apart from the above one, my garage will look like:

1. Innova Hycross Hybrid- Rs.40L- This will be used for family trips

2. Ioniq 5- Rs.48L- This will serve as my daily driver and will be used in city as well as on highways within 500 Kms

3. Tiago EV- Rs.12L- This will be used within the city limits and serve as a beater car at home

Another option would be:

1. Scorpio-N 4X4 AT- Rs.30L
2. BYD Seal Performance- Rs.56L
3. Jimny AT- Rs.14L

Re: Your ideal 1-crore-rupee garage in 2025

I would keep it simple:
1. M340i - for the self drive days, even though it would be typically in Mumbai traffic
2. Hycross - for the back seat days
Now depending on the budget, either can be used/ new!
