Big shoutout to .anshuman for shooting these pictures & his coverage of the Bharat Mobility Expo. Thanks for sharing, man!
Toyota has brought in not one, or two but three different Hilux models to the 2025 Auto Expo. First up is the FCEV or the Fuel Cell Electric vehicle variant of the popular pickup truck:
The Hilux FCEV looks like a normal Hilux save for a different front end. The FCEV is nothing but an electric vehicle that is powered by a fuel cell:
From the sides, the pickup gets FCEV branding...
... and this tiny FCEV logo on the driver's door:
The rear too gets the same FCEV logo under the Hilux badge:
Here's the rear motor that powers the rear wheels:
The centre console reveals's some interesting bits like a button for one-pedal driving, a separate 'P' button for Park, and possibly adjustable regenerative braking modes
Toyota had also displayed the internal components of the vehicle including the fuel tank and the fuel cell:
Also on display was the Hilux off-road concept:
This version came loaded with extras like a blindspot mirror, gloss black grille, underbody protection plates, snorkel etc:
Check out the chunky BF Goodrich tyres mounted on abuse-friendly rims:
A parting shot.. Don't miss the internal roll cage as well:
Perhaps the most handsome version of the Hilux at the Toyota stall was this Black Edition:
Finished in an all-black shade, including the rims, the only chrome bits are the T logo and the Hilux badging:
The all-black Hilux looks menacing and masks the huge size of the Hilux:
Like the front, the only minimal chrome can be found on the badging, tailgate handle and the bumpers:
A close look at the 285/80R18 tyres all-terrain tyres:
